I'm having a bet with my friend. Who will drop something new first? Boards of Canada or the next season of the Netflix animated show, The Dragon Prince, which has recently gone into "sit tight" limbo.

I bet a dollar on BOC and he bet on Dragon Prince. I guess we'll see. Not sure I picked the wisest horse to bet on, but I do feel strongly we might see BOC next year. It's been such a nothing year for IDM artists on Warp, so only way to go is up.

I'm willing to wager one (1) Diet Coke that BoC will release a new album before The Cure releases their touted double album.

I'm with you on that. He's been Lyin' Bob for so long now. Deluxe edition of Wish, 4:13 Scream and that double Cure album of nine minute tracks to be released on the Halloween of two years ago.

I've got way more "Faith" in the bros, tbh and I can guarantee the new BOC stuff will be out before anything in the Cure camp

Also disclaimer: I'm not actually angry at Robert Smith and I'm simply making humor. He can do whatever he wants, he is THE Robert Smith after all. Disintegration is one of the best albums of all time

I feel the only way that we'll get the new BOC album in 2023 is if it really takes them a whole year to plan out the festivities. Otherwise, if the record was indeed at the plant since April, we're getting it next year for sure. There's was NO IDM records this year, unless we count Flylo's soundtrack.

I'm willing to wager my dollar on that. But if they do release it in 2023, I will color my whole Aquarius color sheet in burnt umber.

Now that I think about it, the last Aquarius copy sold for 2000 or so. Buying all the 500 copies would actually take a million dollars.
