They don't.
The theory was six records. One for each code group. Also the Other Music guy said there were others in other countries.

Now there are two copies of records with code group 4 and group 3 was posted on-line.

So, we don't know anything for sure but it now seems less likely that there are distinct records for each code group.

I want to make it clear he didn't say how many there would be, though.

Agreed. I will volunteer to check some stores around Ottawa, but it is exam week (and therefore, I have no life but studying lol) for me so I may not be able to until the weekend. I'm not getting my hopes up, but that'd be cool.

As the theory goes it would have to be a store that is part of the RSD.
Rough Trade Ease is listed in the list of participating record stores in the UK
Other Music is listed in the list of participating record stores in the US

So for Ottawa:

Good luck!

From Edinburgh's Avalanche Records' Twitter:

@avalanche_edin: Boards Of Canada fans convinced I have new 12" was getting tiresome Now I just let them search shop + invariably they find something to buy.

Wonder how many people have been in???

@avalanche_edin: Not having the Boards Of Canada 12" has proved so good for business I'm considering not having a new Radiohead single next week.

Haha - I must admit I did have a look in Avalanche but didn't ask anyone if it had been brought in.
