Fair play Bleep - seems they listened to the criticism over the TH presale.

Now, the $1000000 question - can they can the dispatch right?!? Fingers crossed.

Not sure. They've certainly giving themselves a decent run-up timewise.

Question:

I was about to preorder at least Geogaddi and it gave me the discount from pre-ordering TH, but then I accidentally X'd out of the coupon voucher and now that won't show up again. How would I go about getting the coupon voucher reapplied?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just logged out then back in and it put it back on. Man, I would so love to buy all of them, but I think I'm just going for Geogaddi and In a Beautiful Place. Twoism is also a very much want, but I wish they would have had Hi Scores in this reissue. This gives me hope for then actually releasing some of their back catalog!

Just mail Bleep about it. My experience is that their customer service is pretty helpful.

So Geogaddi isn't 180 gram but it's recut from the DAT master and has sturdier new packaging? I guess that's a fair trade off. If the reissue drives down the price of the original pressing enough I may try to get an original so I can compare the sound quality. Then put the preferred version in the new sleeve with the extra panel of artwork!

Wasn't planning on buying Trans Canada Highway but it comes out to $10 with the EP bundle(as opposed to LP bundle plus Twoism and IABPOITC) so I might as well get both bundles. Really regretting not preordering Tomorrow's Harvest now, the discount would make it easier to justify this purchase.

Also, I'm not seeing anything to indicate a Hi Scores repress?

Its coming out on Skam sometime soon, according to Boards official website.

Info @ BOC site
"... look out for a vinyl reissue of Hi Scores EP (1996) through Skam later this year."

big tings. happy man, but very broke now

i think the originals will keep most of their value. there re-presses arnt the originals, people will still want them as a collectors item like people chase original classic LP's like the beatles or a more current example people pay through the roof for original presses of L.I.E.S. releases..

fuck the guys who are ripping people off on discogs anyways, they ruin collecting. (the folks that buy to sell that is)

what a connundrum...

Why is it that despite owning all these LPs already i'm still scanning the bleep site every couple of hours musing about purchasing them all over again? I wonder if the black pressings of IABPOITC and TCH eps will sound better? Colour pressings can be bad, but i've never found those two lacking in anything. should i get black vinyl versions for 'everyday use' and preserve the coloured? i don't know... ahhhhhh, why is this so difficult!?! All of mine were bought on release, so i'm happy not to have supported the crazy prices of the aftermarket, but i do need a new Hi Scores as mine is a bit thrashed from years of loving abuse. so i guess i'll get that when it arrives.

so happy that everyone can enjoy these LPs now (well soon!) rather than stare at ridiculous Ebay listings and struggling to justify the price tags!

happy days everyone!

Is anyone else more excited to get campfire headphase than any of the other albums? I'm sure its going to sound so rich and so warm on vinyl - I had always considered campfire headphase to be slightly inferior to the first two albums for whatever reason but in recent years i feel i've began to appreciate it in a way i didnt when it was originally released.

Regardless, all 6 ordered and hi-scores coming later in the year, as many have said already - good day to be a boards of canada fan. (so long as you have £85 spare!)

I don't think there is a hilarious image macro or witty comment I can make that would even come close to adequately conveying what I am feeling right now. I do not own a record player, but I want all of these very badly. For perspective, I have all of these albums on compact disc. I would be buying music I already own. So many conflicting feels.

err, does anyone know if I can cancel a preorder? I preordered geogaddi but decided I might as well get the LP bundle so I don't pay $30+ for shipping each individual album

Yeah just send them an email explaining. Bleep are really good about stuff like that. And it will be even easier to change your order with it being a pre-order.

I pulled the trigger even though I have no way to play vinyl right now. Love the artwork and stickers and experiencing them on vinyl has always been a dream. Couldn't beat the price either!
