Anyone else notice a bongo drum being played faintly towards the end of sequoia?
Where the melody changes in to something else around 3:10
Reminds me in essence of the hidden bongo in mbv's soon.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this before but listening to IABPOITC (Edit) from ATP 1.0 today I heard like a child voice saying "yeah" at 2:01 and it's also in the EP version

A few details that took me a while to notice:
-The flutes in Red Moss
-"It must be a message, look up there!" from A is to B as B is to C
-The Mescaline conversation from Chromakey Dreamcoat
-The very quite, Bongo-like drums in Oirectine

telephasic workshop is case in study. the cut up vocals start in at 2:54 and there's a vocal sample playing and saying whad they say... (what did they say) meaning the cut up vocals and i hear in the cut up vocals saying something like you dddon't nnnknow anyone else hear what i'm hearing?

4:03 you don't know (male voice panned right)
4:21 oh come on (female voice panned left)
4:28 whad they say (kid voice panned left)
4:24 very serious (male panned right)

Where you hear "very serious" I hear "superior" played in forward then reverse. And I hear it in the voice of Harrison Ford...

Things i've notice:
A high metallic like sound through 1969 (kinda hard to hear it but when you do, it will be always there, always!).

In ab:c, it must be a message!, when people think the lady is saying "look up there", I hear it says soixante-sept (67 in french), or maybe another number but i can feel like a french accent.

A connection between Poppy Seed, Over the Horizon Radar and You Could Feel the Sky.. Well, what could this be? There's like a bell played backwards in OTHR which i find very similar to another bell that's played in YCFTS, just before the "God with horns" message.. And again in Poppy Seed, which you can hear it through the song.

Some people talking in Nothing Is Real, not the Jesus sample, around 3:00

In Sick Times, at 02:15 there's like a voice going du du du durum duru duru durum, or so, and when is slowed down is kinda funny.

A sample in Oscar See Through Red Eye that can be found in the Bad Day In The Midway game by The Residents, precisely in this video: at around 0:32 you can hear like a voice going hummmm, that is the same sound used in the song at 0:27 and throughout.
Also one that appears at 01:04 in the bad day video is very similar to a sound at 01:34 in the song.

The 'Beautiful Place' sample is looped under the drums in Sunshine Recorder, until the first intermezzo. Also, it's only beautiful, no place.

I'm pretty sure the swirly sound 28 seconds into Sixyten has the exact same chords from the very end of The Smallest Weird Number. You can hear it in between the notes of the main synth.

I saw a couple of people say it was a bit from Magic teens. Hard to tell though.

Took me this long, despite and maybe partly because of too many repeated listens in small spaces of time, to really pick up on just how dark in tone the beginning of Tomorrow's Harvest is. If the statement that it is a palindrome holds truth on anything more than just a conceptual level, the thing is probably out of order.

I've just noticed that BoC uses the same flute sound throughout a lot of their tracks: A is to B as B is to C, The Smallest Weird Number, Twoism, It's Too Orangey (the end of Triangles and Rhombuses/Basefree), etc.

I've gotta wonder if the flutes that seem to pop up in quite a few BoC songs (such as the ones Manta mentioned as well as Sixtyniner, Flute Frum Thing and Red Moss) are actually played on flutes or if they're sample-mapped in some way. They did say that the underlying rhythm from Julie and Candy was initially played on some flutes and whistles, but is that the case for all of them?

Yeah flutes kind of make up part of their signature sound. I remember reading in interviews that before recording an album they spend a few months recording their own samples with flutes guitars etc. The brothers are very dedicated to purity.

Melodica makes an appearance in a few places too. Smokes Quantity, Sunshine Recorder, Corsair being the more obvious ones.
Dayvan Cowboy Ive mentioned before was less obvious, plenty of other textures that could be elsewhere but they're so heavily effected its hard to tell. I'm pretty sure there's a melodica run through a cab in Kid For Today for example.

When you get to the xylophony-marimba'y type instruments well they're everywhere too. So I can totally believe when they say a lot of their sound sources are non-electronic.

I am thinking the slide projector sound was introduced way before kid for today, and has possibly been used on more recent work too.
