yeah I'm not used to the dead wax along the edges being so bloody rough or even having gouges. its like they made the cut at slightly too cool a temp.

The very fact we have a 10 page issue thread speaks volumes. Bleep/Warp fucked this up good and proper.

Just got my 3rd copy of In a Beautiful Place Out In The Country and the ending of Amo Bishop Roden has the same noise/distortion again. This 3rd copy came from a completely different source than the first 2.
I urge everyone to check their copies, as I've had 3 bad ones now.

Just wonder if bleeps January dates mean that they are redoing all albums and EPs?
Hope so!

All sides for both TCHs are fucked with incredibly loud clicks and pops on every revolution. Super bummed. Gotta check my IABPOITC later tonight

so Twoism was basically a continuation of Campfire. that is utter shit. i was expecting more of the same with Trans Canada but have been left perplexed by what i heard. a piece of wax manufactured by those factory cowboys that was not dreadful. it still has minor crackle but given that much of the music is quiet i was expecting much worse, i feel it would be cheeky if i complained about it to Bleep.
of more importance there are still far too many disappointed people and that is simply unacceptable. the vinyl factory are likely incompetent but Warp should not escape unscathed. they had the choice of going all out with quality pressing plants for the entire back catalog but took what i presume was the cheap option for one of their greatest artists all so they could get these things out with the buzz from TH still lingering. rather than wait a while longer and let the Germans or someone else in the UK finish the job properly. they struck while the iron was hot which is fine but they didn't take the necessary precautions and got burned, that'll teach em.

If I'm not mistaking the French Press (ha) came out the best did it not? The UK plant was the most offensively poor. Warp should head over there and sully them up.

I'm sure this has been asked by why does only my Music Have The Right vinyl reprint have Braille on the packaging? Not any other release I bought, which was whole discog minus an EP or two.

What distortion are you talking about? My copy seems fine, unless I'm not listening close enough.

I think it was added to make it as close to the original issue as possible.

At the end where those fluttering noises kick in and it goes to a single drum beat, with about a minute to go in the track, right after the fluttering stops and it goes back into the melody, you can hear the noise from that point to near the end of the track. This is noise/distortion that is definitely not in the normal track. The background of the song is supposed to be pretty quiet right there, with just the synth melody playing and without any drum beats at all through the end of the track. The MP3 download version is clean and quiet in those areas. The distortion actually starts around the fluttering, maybe even just before, but you notice it more when it gets quieter with just the melody playing. I would describe it as more of a clicking and noisy distortion rather than the vibrating distortion heard through the vinyl repress of Geogaddi on Corsair.
All 3 of the vinyl copies I had did this, so I think it's within the master? The 3rd copy I got also has marks that look like fine scratches/defects clearly visible on the track Zoetrope, and for the entire first half of this track there is a clacking noise with every revolution, similar to what people describe with the defects in the other EPs and TCH (though I don't have them to compare). The first copy I had, Zoetrope played fine. I don't believe I ever played Zoetrope from the 2nd copy I had, as I returned it as soon as I heard the issue with Amo Bishop Roden again, so I only know of 1 copy for sure out of the 3 that had this issue within Zoetrope.
That one copy had visible marks on Zoetrope, but none of the 3 copies I had showed any marks or defects whatsoever at the end of Amo Bishop Roden.

it was originally a co-release with warp and skam records. skam traditionally has put braille sticker on all of their physical releases. everything else so far released has been thru warp....if hi scores gets the re-release i'd imagine it will have a braille sticker on it too (my cd re-release from like 15 years ago has it, at least)

Ok, back with some good news. Sent a mail to bleep about the releases, before realizing that I probably shouldn't have since I did not buy the releases from bleep, which I told them in my response, and they kindly provided another email address, in order to deal directly with Warp this time.
I've been on communication via email with one of the guys from their customer service since then and it's been rolling smoothly, bar none the best experience I've had with any customer service period : fast response time, polite exchange, etc. As far as I can tell it's really not their fault, and like others before have said here, they're apparently building a case against the plant responsible for the bad pressings (cause is shitty QC I've been told, not in these exact words obviously).
All I've been asked to provide is proof of purchase for the releases (photos of the download cards, purchase receipt, etc), and I'll get the replacement copies for the incriminated releases in the mail, when the represses are done.
I have to say, I'm impressed. They may have had the misfortune of getting bad pressings but they're damage-controlling this thing like champs (in my opinion). Kudos to them.

The question is, which ones are they repressing? Just Campfire, Trans Canada, and Twoism (which I believe these 3 were all from the same pressing plant) or Geogaddi and IABPOITC as well?

As far as I know, just the ones they've had the most reports on, so Campfire, Trans Canada and Twoism, it seems. They've had reports on the problem with Corsair on Geogaddi but they're "still investigating that" (I've asked since my copy has this issue as well).
So yes for now it seems that Trans Canada, Campfire and Twoism are getting a repress. I have to say I don't have a problem with the other ones (my copies of MHTRTC, IABPOITC and Geogaddi, safe for Corsair, are pretty much a-ok) so that's fine by me. But if you've got issues with the other ones then by all means tell them about it, it seems like the most people will tell them about a problem, the most likely they are to do a repress, and since the bulk of the issues has been reported on TCH, CH and Twoism, that's the ones they're repressing.

I have to be honest I know most of the complaints are out of warps control. I don't know if the test pressings sounded good and they just went forward or what. But to be honest and I don't mean to hijack the thread completely but I'm somewhat annoyed at Bleep as well. I was lucky with my TH release not having tears along the side of the sleeve but I just received this and it isn't the first time. And that tear in the picture is on BOTH sides of the sleeve. Seriously this is worse than most things in used condition.

That does look pretty rough.
It's almost like there's no in between. If they shrink wrap a new record too loosely, it will cause edge splits, and if they shrink it too tight, it could cause bowing/warping of the sleeve which can affect the vinyl. I'm just getting turned off by ordering any new vinyl these days. I'm still awaiting delivery of Gary Numan's new album and I haven't heard much written about the quality of that one. This may be the last new record I buy and I'll just stick with used and CDs/MP3s.
I will purchase Campfire, Twoism, and Highway once I hear they've been reissued. I hope they use a different catalog number so we will know which ones are the corrected copy.
As far as Geogaddi, with it being a triple LP, I doubt there will be any represses as that would be very costly. I also think it's an issue with the master/source because my Bose speakers have some distortion during Corsair when I play the MP3 version. In that case, if it's not an error at the plant, BOC/Warp would have to pay to have Geogaddi repressed and may even have to pay for a new master. I just don't see that happening.

This wasn't even shrink wrapped but it was in the single type of packaging and I find the cardboard a lot tighter on those than the double disc shipping cardboard. This has somewhat happened to my Apple and the Tooth vinyl and one other single disc I ordered from them. Anyway I'm going to ask for them to send me another sleeve with my upcoming Burial single order.. and hopefully they'll turn out all right.
