Yeah. I'd honestly like some news for 2016. They're secretive, we know - but at the end of the day we're still fans with an active fan forum. We all would like something new, even if it's just a picture of their latest green tea brew. Also mdg said we'd get a new website so I don't think this is the end of boardsofcanada.com :)

I don't really see how a Youtube upload and a Bleep redirect have anything to do with a new website.

I think they'll probably release something this year

But I'm not expecting it to drop anytime soon.

Whatever they plan to do, I'm sure BoC will surprise us (just like they did with the codes and vinyls they issued for tomorrows harvest.

Maybe the reason the site is redirecting to their Bleep page is because the new site will be printed on an exclusive poster.

I reckon we are game on for new Boards.

No way in the last decade since TCH will there just be Tomorrows Harvest. You have to realise these artists like BOC, AFX, Autechre live and breathe for making music. And I can't imagine just spending hours and hours in the studio pushing themselves to the creative limit are they going to just put in on a few cdr's and hand them out to their mates, in return for a few pints lol. That would just be a defeatist reason to even get out of bed in the morning.

Imo.

it was said a while back that BOC were working on a new website and stuff like that. so i wouldn't be surprised if a new site pops up in the next month or so.

i wouldn't be surprised if more music came out before the year ends

Breaking News:
Boards of Canada has figured out how to travel through parallel universes.
Apparently ours is one of the worst ones - Divergence 5 9 78 has already seen the release of several 20th century albums as well as two boxsets of previously unreleased material. They are touring several ley-lines as we speak.

My parents where buddhists and as a child I would often be told religious stories. One of the stories involved a measurement of time in which if an angel flew past a granite block roughly one mile in diameter once every ten years, giving it the lightest of touches with its wings, this measurement of time would be how long it would take for the solid granite block to erode completely to dust as a result.

When mdg says 'at some point' I am often reminded of this story.
