I have been a fan of BOC long enough to learn to be patient.
In fact, my all-time favorite bands (Tool, BOC and NIN) made me wait almost half my life for new releases.
I'm not the one wasting 10 topic pages bitching about being fake or not being fake.
It seems pretty clear to me: until its from music70 or warp, pretty much everything else is fake.
So maybe you could all cut the crap at the very beginning and try to waste your time online on more productive things for fuck sake.
Have a nice day!

i feel you on the tool business. gotta wait like 10 years between CD's

FAKE
Yeah, like Warp would release a new squarepusher album, a new Clark album, and a BOC boxset all in the same quarter. There is no proof, and this thread starts out like all other hoax threads.

Better we have a new subsection on this board; like on wattm : a Trashcan subforum to dump all the nonsense threads...
Trashcan subforum where you can't edit and/or make new posts; natch!

Why should I delete this topic Derail?
Anyone can decide for themselves to pour oil on the fire or not. And even if I do there will be another one regarding the BoCset..
If you don't like it, don't read it.

Boards of Canada - Alpha Taxonomy (WARP169CD)
Release date: December 4, 2006
Warp Records are delighted to announce the highly-anticipated Boards of Canada box set Alpha Taxonomy, a collection of previously unreleased songs and rarities, commonly circulated online as the 'Old Tunes'. Unwillingly leaked to the web years ago, Mike and Marcus have finally given into the incredible demand for the tracks. They've remastered and re-recorded a colossal 87 tracks, spanning four compact discs, as well as overseeing a gorgeous accompanying 32-page booklet. The lovely resulting package goes well beyond the high expectations the duo's fans have come to hold. Alpha Taxonomy will be available for pre-order from Warpmart in the coming weeks.
Boards of Canada will be performing live at a handful of shows in early 2007.

i really wonder if it is true. we need the guy merck or what ever his name is to keep posting bits.
come back! tell us more! you cant just leave us like this. give us a clue when this email will be released if it is infact true.
seems like something warp would say. words wise.

I remember when there was rumors in early 2005 that there was going to be another album coming out. Most people thought it was bullshit and it really did happen! Yes there were fake album covers and songs too. But we do not need to worry about fake songs for this, we know that they are real and we have most of em. Till warp says something on their mailing list or on their site, everyone needs to calm down, it will happen when it happnes, and when it happens it will go by quicker than it took to think up something like this.

You're not missing much, its the same old "I am mysterious and strange, I have all the answers you want but I shall not give them to you because I am mysterious and strange and have popped out of no where - I am mysterious and strange."
Once again things have rocketed off again in this forum, and hopefully as did with the Redmoon, it will settle down nicely again and their will be no tension!
edit: I said I'd never post in this thread unil soem proofe comes along. But I have posted and their is no evidence, im such a fool.

you know on the old tunes tracks. just noticed today on a lot of the tracks they sound like they where streamed from somewhere, then recorded. anyone else notice this?
maybe m&m did release the old tunes in 2001 just on the net.
also if they "did release" this box set, would it count as a 4th album, meaning only one more album left on warp? anyone?
