I've probably mentioned this before, but I think it'd be most refreshing if LP5 had no theme at all. I'd love a batch of loose tracks from every corner of the BoCverse.

I’d think that LP5 would be more of a lobotomy level happiness theme, something like B09 or Sac. Since TH made me cry about how depressing it was.

Well, not the bocset, but something similar in approach I guess.

Of course, the bocset was always intended to be an expansive compilation of early material, wheras I was merely suggesting a totally new album that isn't confined to any particular sound, theme or overarching concept, almost as if an 'Old Tunes'-style comp was constructed today, based on their post-TH material and disguised as an LP.

Basically, I wanna hear BoC make a Ween album.

The first from the list was confirmed by the commentator himself today on Reddit. The like on his post was given around 13:30 CET by the Boards of Canada account. I checked the other comments on that post and found a couple more likes.

Losing hope is not an option! They want to confirm that things are still coming, but they're not yet committing to 2025 or anything very soon. I guess they prefer playing safe this time? That's good!

Waiting for the album is actually a part of Dark Souls lore.

Maybe they will just release their early albums and EPs finally after 30+ years, as we are asking for "new" music.

Maybe they should just re-release Geogaddi. Seems perfect for the times.

Personally I have a hard time listening to it unless I’m in the right head space. Reminds me to much of childhood nightmares.
