mdg was literally just online again, Geo20 is tomorrow, next week is 22/02/2022, and on the following week we have the 50th anniversary of Pioneer 10's launch (although the jury's still out on the relevance of that). Seems like a perfect storm.

Fredd-E confirmed that Mike's Twitter at least is 100% legit, with no doubts. I'm gonna guess he got confirmation privately from MDG, whom he's in contact with semi-regularly.

Ok that could very well be true, but personally, unless I see tangible proof I have to remain sceptical.

Yes I thought that for a while. That whole Sheol story still isn't crystal clear...
But with regards to Mike's twitter it isn't just my thoughts anymore.

I have to admit, I'm feeling pretty good right now. I'd put myself at maybe a 7.5 to an 8... I have no expectations for what could happen tomorrow but whatever it is it'll be cool. Even if it's just a happy 20th celebration. Some new interviews would be nice

Also it's just my opinion but there seem to be too many coincidences surrounding the sheol boundary thing that point to the fact it is legit

At least since 2016 since that's when they started liking tweets about new music.

I think they'll reveal on the second wave that they are playing live at Blue Dot festival at Jodrell Bank, that's pretty space themed.

I counted all the tweets they've liked that are specifically about wanting new music (keep in mind some have been deleted over the years so it's not 100% accurate):

2019 - 2 (the majority of the their annual twitter like allowance was spent on SxT tweets.

2022 - 1 (so far )

I've said it before. BOC don't put out albums they're not totally happy with, so they have no reason to release an alternate version of Geogaddi. And while I'm pretty sure a new release is on the way eventually, it's not going to be announced in the shadow of of one of their earlier works. It'll be its own thing.

It'd be awesome to be wrong, though.

We've already gotten our 20th anniversary acknowledgement, and it's the Twitter likes. That's it.

PS - The fact that Fredd-E has been (IMO overly) skeptical of certain things in the past should make the fact that he's stated there's no doubt as to the legitimacy of Mike's Twitter account all the more meaningful. If he's saying it's 100% certain, then it is.

The fact is, hoaxes are generally exposed relatively quickly. Fake pages and accounts don't linger for over a decade with a band that's incredibly protective of it's public image. But people can believe whatever they want. Far be it from me to force them to use basic logic.
