What “worries” me is Autechre starting a new live tour this June. I expect them to drop a new album prior to the tour. No way Warp will release BoC and AE at the same time.

I suspect their next album will release next year.

There doesn't seem to be a big enough window for them to release it before June unless they are just going to drop it without fanfare, or they announce it within the next few weeks...

Nine years between TH and now? Pfft, it'll arrive before you know it!
Wise words my friend! We've waited this damn long already. Waiting til May is nothing. We're all basically Spartans from this XD

Ironically !!! released an album about four weeks before Tomorrows Harvest back in 2013. Anything is possible

Autechre's set is based on their Sign/Plus albums. I doubt they'll release another this year. Be amazing though if so.

Has this been confirmed by the band/Warp or is that speculation for now?

They talked about it in chat a little while after the albums released IIRC. From what I remember they were mostly done with the live set at this point and it was only missing the intro

I actually thought of something. Notice how !!! drops in early May? Same time the zine featuring BOC drops so technically the window will be open then.

Also BOC are the second featured artist so you know they'll be one of the biggest headlines in it

Maybe we'll get a Xentrix remix?

Also the one artist who is headlining before BOC and featured on the cover seems to be a fringe artist/conspiracy theorist.

Fits right in with BOC who fashion themselves as outsiders in society.

If anything they will be in good company in this zine. But I'm hoping so much this isn't similar to the Wired issue in 2020 which features BOC on the cover but merely was another artist writing about how they were influenced by the bros.

Looking her up, I don't know that I'd call her a "conspiracy theorist" so much as an activist and electronic musician, but what's funny is that it turns out she launched the "Unabomber for President" campaign, which I actually was already aware of through a collective I follow closely called Crimethinc., who were heavily involved with it. That's an interesting connection, I definitely want to check out more of her stuff now.

Regardless of what the issue turns out to be, I'm excited to read about this Chris Korda person and BOC in the same place!

NTS are re-broadcasting the entire Sociatas X Tape tonight.
https://www.nts.live/schedule/2
Even though it's a repeat, I'm still going to listen in. Anyone else? :)

I saw a post on the subreddit mentioning a Clayton fellow, do we know if this sounds like any real Boards stuff or if its just another copycat?

I've actually been trying to find out more about this person(s) and have had no luck.

They have their channel on YouTube and recently uploaded some stuff. Fairly ambient but there's something more to it. It's good.

I want to know who this person is so i can ask them for more of their music.

Why do these really great tracks fall from the sky and then the creator absolutely fucking disappears?

And I'll be honest... This is about greed. My greed. It's about me wanting more music for my personal collection.

Hmm, that video is no longer available.

I did find this, which is really excellent. Don't think for a second this is them, but whoever this is they've got the sound down.

This is from the same person as the above link that was removed, I believe.
*Edit: the video which is no longer available was for the song Pingus. It is now available in the Halide Institute channel.

Clayton. Fucking brilliant.

I remember first being introduced by someone else saying it was a friend of theirs who didn't listen to BOC. But then the rest of the stuff on the channel...
You're right. They've nailed the sound.

Is this something from Zephyr Method?

What if the scale of this next BoC project is gigantic in terms of sound and feel.

MHTRTC, Geo and TCH where all about very humanistic things that have faded with time, they feel like relics of humanistic qualities.

Tomorrow's Harvest on the other hand feels like a full city has been blurred, lost to time, one large scale city and the loss of inhabitants in it, one could argue it's the entire earth which I also get the sense of in its feel.

What if the next album is the entire universe blurred, the entire universe lost to time, heat death. If that's the concept then no wonder it could be taking them so long, idk, just currently listening to my TH vinyl and had this thought.

If their next album is a space themed album, they could follow it up with their final album, the afterlife. Also, when I say space themed album I don't mean "wee, look at me, I'm floating around in space", I mean the heat death of the universe.

If they go that way, Demo, they will basically be creating a musical continuum that sums up existence itself.

70s prog rock wouldn't even touch that kind of ambition. We'd be looking at an IDM Wagner.

I hate to kiss their asses so much but I would put it past them to attempt that. And considering they've told us in interviews that the first three albums are a trilogy and everything after that is different you could be on to something.

The second half of TH is less human already so what continues after that?

Please though, give us that 10 minute Krautrock track please :D

Just saw this now. This was our chance to get a copy of SxT in better quality.

The archive on the NTS player is from Mixcloud, which is 64kbps AAC.

The original broadcast stream in 2019 was in 128k MP3. NTS live stream was 128k back then, some people captured that directly (the actual mp3, not a wav or flac recording of it)

But since then NTS have upped their bitrate to 256k, so the rebroadcast last Sunday night would have been at that quality.
