Well hopefully we aren’t crawling out from the fallout by the time our demigods come back with a new prophecy. Tomorrows Harvest is nearly to conclusion.
I still have some boomers patiently awaiting the moment of contact. Until then I’ll keep rotating my tinfoil hats while staring at the stars through a mirror looking for signs.

Wow, I've clearly missed an interesting couple of weeks here in BoCville!
The whole 'thrift store VHS' thing is undoubtedly fake. The tunes are actually kinda nice, but the production is nowhere near refined enough for BoC's standards, even early BoC. Something about the fidelity screams
modern and
sterile too. Obviously it's quite distressed, but it certainly doesn't sound like an authentic tape from the 90s/early 00s. And I'm not even going to dissect the laughable backstory contextualising this release.
Biz's boxset theory is certainly something I'm more interested in, however! This fabled set is something I've been fantasising over for a very long time. I can't think of a release I'd want to have, by any other band or artist, more than this. Let's not forget that
the bros shared Buckie High on their Twitter page a few years back. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time they've publicly acknowledged an unreleased archival track? To me, this strongly implies that they're slowly lifting the lock on the vaults and gearing up to share some older material. Of course, this has been in discussion for a very long time (I believe the first mention of a big archival release dates all the way back to 2001) so I'd be too cautious to assign an ETA for this boxset, but I still believe the intention is there.
I'm also willing to put a bit of stock into the Stargate zine theory. As I've just mentioned to Echelon, it definitely wouldn't be the first time a publication capitalised on the mystique and falsely lured everyone in, but if you guys are saying Stargate is a relatively reputable zine and that Boards themselves have stated they prefer chatting to smaller publications, then I guess we can't rule it out as a possibility. Consider me cautiously optimistic!

To all you speculators, MDG logging in about a few weeks ago on doesn't mean anything. It's just cause I sent him a message.

Considering how much the landscape has changed in just about every aspect since TH came out, I'm just as intrigued in a, from the sound of it, likely interview as the possibility of new material being announced.

Imagine the Stargate interview(and Biz rightfully pointed out that the cover artists were all interviews) is simply BOC pointing out that all the paranoia of Geo and TH came true. And then leaving.
Would be totally on brand with them.
Btw here's another theory, what if BOC read all the complaints about Warp/them not celebrating Geo decided to contact Stargate and write an article for it. I'll admit that the pitchfork article for MHTRTCs 20th was tasty so even if it's simply a Geo praise article it will be warranted in my book.

It is also should be known, that some huge platforms of info (facebook, instagram and probably soon youtube) are being banned right now some countries. Plus, logistic problems. How and when the announcement would carry out, probably will depend on the current situation.

Are we even sure it's an interview?

I think 5.9.78 was used in a commercial.

The guy that posted the thrift store anomaly vhs music just posted another video explaining some stuff about it and goes in to pretty great detail.
Here it is in case you’re curious.

Probability of authenticity - 0.00000001% chance. Nothing is Real.
Laughed way too hard at this comment though (as I thought the same thing!) Thanks Rodox_Head for the much needed laugh!

This right here is proof this video uploader is up to no good. Apparently he was planning to release this album with a proper tracklist and all, but then for some reason decided to erase all that and start over with this mysterious baloney.

Still had the vid open when he deleted his channel, so I screen recorded it before it got got. In case anyone is just logging on and wants to see the VHS vid for themselves, or just liked the music featured and wanted to revisit it (like myself lol). I didn't save his explanation video, if you're curious it was just him saying he isn't the creator of the tape, and he showed the tape itself and the thrift store he allegedly got it at. If it's a marketing campaign it's a pretty bad one considering the lengths he is going through to deny the tape as his own.

What are the odds that he deleted his channel because the record label or the brothers themselves directly threatened to make him disappear? I'm not implying that anyone is a murderer, but I'm not not implying it.
In actual seriousness, this seems more like the symptom of anxiety caused by nervousness for someone putting themselves out there in such a way to such a community. I believe if I were to create something like that and share it with this forum that I would probably end up freaking myself out because of the exposure and then running and hiding in order to keep the inevitable panic attack at bay.
