Really nice song.

I'm not familiar with Bibio so ive been indulging in some youtube vids at work. I am totally in love with this tune: "The Ephemeral Bluebell"

This track seems like Bibio is going more into L.A territory, he does it well though.

Really curious for the new album, think it's gonna be a complete mix of styles.

Bibio has that magic touch, that touch of having immediately nondescript moments/layers in certain songs that after a number of listens become the part of the song you come back for. This happened to me with a good percentage of his entire discography, and I'm positive this album will be the same, if not the magnum opus of his "touch". Also, the outro got me incredibly excited. My body is ready for the "early bibio feels".
(mind the /mu/-ness of that last sentence.)

You is Fire Ant but with better coherency as a fully realised track.

It's more diverse, makes a logical A to B progression, better melody with more interesting change ups and just overall sound.

A Tout a L'Heure was the best thing he had done, but now this is the best thing he has done so far.

I'm pretty excited for this record.

Yeah very 'Fire Ant'ish. I actually prefer Fire Ant i think, both great though. 'You' does seem a more well rounded track though you're right. Love how he cuts his samples. Got some J Dilla vibes goin on.

It's a funny happy song! My main language is french and can't help but smile when I hear "A tout à l'heure".

I'm not a fan tough, for me this is way too much acoustic and it sounds too much like folk music to be interesting, I don't hear anything new I haven't heard before too...

I don't care for the track 'you.' the chopped samples that have been pitch shifted are just annoying to me. leatherette does a lot of that too..... maybe it's just the hip thing.

Letherette's stuff is glossier though, more "produced".

And in a way You doesn't feel like a hip hop instrumental track though it's got all the traits, it's more like Bibio wanted to make a grandiose sounding jazz track, but without live instrumentation at his aid he turned to samples.

It's very organic and almost sloppy in the way it comes together. I think it's magnificent, the best track of the year so far.

Not dissing Letherette's stuff at all, their record is one of my favourites of the year, too. But on their self titled release it's like they turned the sample-delic hip hop style to a glossy well produced house/nu disco style.

Sure they're both sampling stuff but to compare them is like to compare the way Kazumoto Endo samples stuff in his record While You Were Out with the way The Avalanches sample stuff in Since I Left You.

It's not the same ballpark, it ain't even the same fuckin' sport!

So 2 tracks and a full album sampler, and I'm really liking this, in a way I haven't with his other stuff. I've WANTED to like his other stuff, and the actual tunes are fine, but something about the tone of it just wears on my ears. But everything I've heard of this sounds like the production is just so much better.

This is sounding really good. Mind Bokeh was a little underwhelming, hopefully this will be a return to form. I like the title, reminds me of those old MPB artists.
