I doubt the hardcore neckbeard internet aspies would have enough money to fly out to wherever the hypothetical party would be, while the well-adjusted regular people fans might. I could totally see how throwing a party for a bunch of sycophants would suck, but meeting some nice chill folks who enjoy your music would be pretty cool.

HINT: If you're contemplating this trip, you are probably a neckbeard in spirit. I for one, don't want to see how the sausage is made. In another life, under different circumstances, it would have been fun to have been friends or been in their circle growing up, but I wasn't. I'd never get out of a meeting with them the feeling that their music gives me. I will lovingly lap up whatever scraps they hand down from now until the day I die though.

EDIT: Sorry, did not mean to be as snarky as I came off. I think the enjoyment of this music is very personal. What it means to me is probably a totally different thing than it means to its creators, and I'm sure they get that. I'm pretty laid back and normal, like good beer, smoke and psychs, live music, hanging with friends, etc - but I think I'd struggle to find common ground to share with them and would never want to tarnish my perception of their music by attempting to make a human connection that would (rightly) probably not be equitable (reclusive people that don't like to play live vs starry eyed fans, like oil and water I imagine)

I am a big believer in not meeting your heroes, I'd rather enjoy any musician's output with like minded friends/peers where we have our enjoyment as listeners in common.

It's like opening the ark at the end of Raiders, you don't want to go there.

if the next 2 codes mark out points close to yours then we maybe onto something
but somehow i think the next codes won't cos as it is, its looking like a rather odd imbalanced
hexagon anyway. do bear in mind too that NT is whats taking us there not those numbers. put in NJ

I chose the NT grid zone because I thought it would be fun to see if the grid refs corresponded to Pentland Isotaxal is correct that you can prepend any of the valid 2 letter national grid codes to the numbers and transpose the 'hexagon' around the country.

Aside from any geographical relationship, I think what's interesting is that when you add the 2 remaining points of the 'hexagon', you can extrapolate (approximate) values for the 2 remaining 6 digit numbers: ~524743 and ~284562.

Could be worth feeding those back into some of the other theories?

Am I alone in thinking that this is a bit dodgy, seeing as the hexagon is not the right proportions, as in all the sides are not equal, the shape looks stretched and awkward. Surely BoC, with their love of mathematics and hexagons, would choose numbers that would form a perfect hexagon?

This shape does not seem right, which is why I doubt its legitimacy. They could have made a correct hexagon if they wanted to. And besides, what do coordinates to a uneven hexagon on a map tell us? Especially seeing as it could be placed anywhere on the map as another poster stated. I do agree it looks like a hexagon and don't want to burst any bubbles, but surely they would have made a accurate and correctly proportioned hexagon lads? Maybe it's a strange coincidence?

yeah man, I just can't see them going to all this work, with such attention to detail, only to knock up some sketchy looking hexagon on a map. They would surely have an accurate hexagon, and I'm sure it would mean something too if they did. I do see a six-sided "hexagon" shape, but I really think theirs would be accurate, knowing their fondness for math. So I think this is actually a coincidence, as unlikely as it might sound.

I've been following this treasure hunt really closely since the beginning, but was too busy in the last 1.5 or 2 days. Now that I'm back, there is this map coordinates theory.

For some reason, I feel it's not right. I can be wrong like anyone else, of course.

-- Using this system. it's clearly possible to create a perfect hexagon. Why is this one so asymmetrical?
-- BoC is a band with a relatively large fanbase, spread across the globe. I mean, it's not a local indie act. Why would they concentrate coordinates on a very small portion of the Earth?
-- If this whole thing is about a hexagon shape located in the UK, why did they release clues in the US?
-- We all suppose this is a new album announcement. An album launch is never about where?, since it's global. It's always about when?.
