Ironically enough, around 15.
It appears that's just the age.
I was 28 when I got into BoC
Always late to the party.

I'll officially be in my late 20s this year at 27!
I got into boards when I was in my teens though. So good for you all you teen BoC fans.

From now on this is going to be my go to cultural point of reference. Now all things will be defined as being either pre or post Mmmbop
I was a teenager when I got into them but that was a long long time ago. Sorry for the interruption, carry on teenagers

I know, I know, this is going to make me look like some kind of uncultured idiot, but who/what is Mmmbop?

It's even worse when you hear "MMM Bop" in the grocery store and you realize that the 'old songs that the grocery stores play' are now
your old songs. About a year ago I heard Daft Punk's "One More Time" and almost crocked over in the cracker aisle!
23 here, got into BoC when I was 14, I believe? Through Salad Fingers, of course.

Salad Fingers is actually really sad once you figure out that all his friends had died in the great war and he went insane from loneliness.

♫ Mmm bop, ba duba dop,Ba du bop, ba duba dop,Ba du bop, ba duba dop, Ba du ♪... Seriously though that shit was terrible, you couldn't turn on the radio without that shit coming on at some point, a fucking early jonas brothers. Anyway nothing really relevant to add since im not a teenager but this thread just brought back bad memories of mmmbop.

Got into BoC around 15/16 - now 22, almost 23. Where did those 7 years go?

I know that feeling. I'm kind of proud that there's not really any music I liked in the past that I'm really 'ashamed' in any way at having liked.

Yeah I know what you mean, though there are definitely some I can sorta see why people said they sucked when I thought they were great haha. I've sorta matured into thinking that I shouldn't be ashamed of anything I liked previously as its all relative and usually there are some really interesting parts which get overlooked or something.

I'm 23 now but got into BoC when I was about 14. I used to post on musicianforums.com way back before it morphed into sputnik music and (thankfully) wiped my pubescent angsting off of the face of the internet.
2004 was the year Salad Fingers came out, no? Was that your introduction?

I was introduced to BoC by Adult Swim bumps.
In particular, this one:

didn't hear Boards of Canada until I Was 17 or 18. Now it's around 4 years later.
I cannot wait until I'm like 62 and cruising on a bicycle in Big Sur at night or something, listening to Macquarie Ridge on some futuristic over-ear headphones.

19, soon to be 20 0 discovered Boards when I was pretty young, not through Salad Fingers but another weird web series, Weebl and Bob -
this episode, Cows, which had tons of other great music as well. That was in 2003. Holy shit, I was nine years old when I started listening to Boards of Canada. Where has the time gone??

I'm 16 and I'm from Colombia. Maybe I'm not the youngest in this forum but surely I'm the only person from this country on Twoism
