Wish I had blotter.^^

My first listen will be on my HD 598s on Monday (maybe, haven't decided yet). I think I will be sober and alone. It would be fitting.

It's the only way to fly! Initially I was going to take a pass on the "live transmission" but I thought it might be best to hear the album for the first time (basically) sober after all. It seems like this one is going to some dark places and it might be a good idea to get a feel for it the way it's supposed to sound before it takes a turn for the weird(er).

It is going to be an interesting juxtaposition, checking out this musical apocalypse in a beautiful place out in the country.

Could not agree more man!! My personal fave psych, I do it fairly often. Def gonna be picking up a few tabs for release day..although I wish I still lived out in the country at my parents house, I would go for an pleasant adventure in the woods. The city ain't the same.

it sort of depends on when they release the digital copies really
if they're not out by the 7th when TH hits stores in Australia, i'm gonna drive to melbourne and buy ANOTHER copy of the CD and maybe the vinyl which will give me 5 copies of the CD and 4 of the vinyl which is........terrible

I work late so I won't be able to listen to it till i get back...

I'm going to be at home, earphones, joint, cup of coffee.

Tears rolling down my cheeks wondering what i was doing for the last 7 years waiting for this to finally get here...

Can't wait.

Same here, nothing beats it - and I thank Geogaddi for inspiring me to check it out years ago now! It's a thing I only do 3-4 times per year when the timing and circumstances are right. I like to keep it special, like a favorite meal. I live near a city as well and it takes me about a 45 minute drive to get out to where I want to be to experience this, but it's worth it.

They were not bad for the price a few years ago. Decent sound on a budget!

I'm torn between listening to getting stoned at home and listening on my really nice monitors versus getting stoned in the woods and going for hike with headphones......I'll probably end up doing both, but which first?! :?

I'll listen to it monday, since I'd be listening to it in the same conditions (except somewhat better quality most likely) a week later, plus I get to enjoy it for the very first time along with thousands of people just as interested.

CD or MP3's via Sennheiser HDR 130's, while going about the business of being a stay at home mum. So my first "proper" listen won't be until later in the day.

Haha...!

I had noticed how popular Sennheisers were in this thread.

Just checked the spec for the 650's - cabled? Probably sound the biz but I like to be able to wander when I listen on headphones.

Mine are pretty ancient now but do the job quite well still.
