Why are people whining?

First BOC in 7 years... everything else is just nothing, there's new BOC and suddenly life is good!
People are whining because some people will get (New BOC) and some people will get (New BOC +1)

The thing with optional downloads, it doesn't change the vinyl (or cd for that matter) releases...so whether I download it or not won't change my discography in any measurable way.

...just would be pretty shitty if my Warp/Bleep preorder doesn't come with the same goodies as a third party store/chain.

Imagine burning a disc for your car with them on it before the album or just playlisting them before the album. That would be pretty tasty.
I was thinking the exact same thing! Usually the smallest weird number forwards then reversed is my little mix tape into/outro "callsign" but I want to use the cosecha signal next time.

Sounds like a crock to me.
There have been a lot of "games" with this release, but that's not really the direction I like to see this go
Well, it is annoying. How much money do I need to spend to get the full TH package? Haha. Oh well I shouldn't complain at all I guess! We're getting the new album.

Perhaps BoC want people to support local record stores? Mind you, if that were the case, there would have been a bigger deal made about the whole "bonus material".
Has there been any news on whether Japan is getting a bonus track? If so, this is most likely the same thing.

Well, if BOC wants my money they can have it...just RE-release your albums on vinyl, including the EP's, Catalog 3, Acid Memories, Closes Vol. 1, Play by Numbers, Hooper Bay, a few old tunes, old tunes vol 2, etc. I'll pony up

For all we know, they may not be all that proud of their material on the early albums, plus I doubt BoC are really bothered about money at this point.

Stay positive! The physical album+mp3 DL is well worth what you're paying!
Don't get your hopes up too bad and don't be unhappy if you only get the album!
No worries!

I hate to be the bearer of possibly less than great news, kind of a bummer spoiler below, if you don't want to know scroll past my post!

TE, May 31 11:09 (BST):
"Thank you for your interest and your continued support of Boards of Canada, Warp and Bleep. Unfortunately we currently do not have any posters of stickers available to be sent out. Sorry about this. Thank you once again for all your positive words. We hope you will be happy with your pre-order when it arrives!
Bleep support"

(posters of stickers- their typo, they meant "or")

I'm still hoping for a sticker inside the sealed album!

...and maybe bleep support is fibbin with a surprise, either way I'm happy!

Considering I wrote that at 4am (and I don't remember typing it) I probably wasn't in a good state to reply.

Anyone have any luck getting a card from Amoeba Records in Hollywood?

A friend called to see if they had any, and was told they aren't even taking pre-orders, and know nothing at all about any download cards. He's bummed.

so i just went to cosecha-transmisiones.com/reserva (the site on the back of the cards which a picture of was just published) and a 79 MB zip file started automatically downloading on my computer. I will know in 5 minutes what it is....

So the file on cosecha-transmisiones.com/reserva was what we knew from Bleep, a bunch of desktop pictures of the cover, the reach for the dead MP3 and a high quality version of the ad aired on adult swim. I should clarify i didn't receive one of the cards so i didn't enter any download codes or anything. I would have gone to the lengths to pre-order from an indie shop but there were no stores in Minnesota offering it. I hope this info stays in this thread because obviously it is a mistake...

The "Reach for the Dead" mp3 is 320kbps like the bleep pre-order one, but the file is 12.2 MB instead of the 11.2 MB the bleep one was.

I don't think it's a mistake, that bonus material has been automatically downloading since mid last week when someone first found the URL. If they didn't want people to have those freebies without using a code they would've fixed it by now. I think the code itself will be used to download a digital copy of the LP, and any bonus tracks once the actual release day comes around.

Try boardsofcanada.com, click Local, for list of participating pre-order indies. You can also try the RSD site for participating RSD indies, they likely will have a pre-order promotion.

Two locations of same indie in my town, both on boc.com and RSD, both doing pre-order, but only one doing cards, no posters at both, the one without cards is holding small midnight release event monday/tueday 10/11.

I wound up going to another shop, but it was odd that Amoeba had no clue what I was talking about as far as pre orders.

For those in Los Angeles, Mount Analog has download cards as well as posters. Ask for Zane, he's a huge BOC fan as well.

Pre order gorilla is pleased....

Just found this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Boards-of-Can ... 1092433669

The site is legit:
https://bleep.com/redeem/boc-tomorrowsharvest

I guess that the Reserva cards are the same. Access to the mp3s for indie store buyers.

I also heard that the vinyl automatically includes it...at least on AMazon Germany it does...it says 2LP+MP3 ...a similar card was on recent warp vinyl reissues

OK! So the download/redemption site is now live...anyone who got a download card care to shed some some light on what track(s) you get with it? I'm not asking for an MP3, just curious to see what the cards get you.
