some valid and interesting points. although the site could be in progress of being rebuilt, the plural thing is kinda weird.

remember there was supposed to be exclusive downloads available to folks who preordered from certain shops? it got scrapped because apparently warp could pull it off in time.

sooooo, that stuff is still just out there waiting to (hopefully) still be revealed. that's i'm guessing that's why the site is still up.

Ok, so I created a .wav for each 'number' and listened to them all and grouped them accordingly.

A: 1 12 21 30
B: 2 13 22 31
C: 3 14 23 32
D: 4 15 24 33
E: 5 16 25 34
F: 6 10 19 28
G: 7
H: 8 17
I: 9 18 27
J: 11 20 26 29 36
K: 35

So, for example, sound 'A' repeats for the 1st, 12th and 21st 'number' in the sequence.
'G' is that cute sounding 'zero'-ey one, and 'K' is that real tricky one that is second to last.

So the basic order is definitely

Of course, the trickiest part is still to find out what each of these sounds actually are, whether number or letter! Some are easy, e.g. C=8 and I=2

What stands out, and others have already mentioned this, is that there is a some repetition in there

Filtering helped. After a while, you start to realise it's the same few numbers repeated over and over. I'm starting to think that the 0 sound may be "12" instead.

Headphase, I think I'll attempt some filtering on the SoundCloud samples and see how they turn out.

Awesome. I think that some of the numbers may be two digit numbers as well, so remember that.

i believe that the voice snippets can be combined into something else.
i mean, in Cold Earth they are separated from each other and hence incomprehensible, but when they are merged one-to-one then all this may add up to something meaningful just like a word is a sum of letters.

Oh guys.. I have my own opinion about those weird voices.
Just think, Michael and Marco claim that the world is actually overloaded (overflowing).

Propably you noticed that there are few types of voices - child and adult.

There are more children voices than adult ones.

So the thing song wants to tell us is the fact that... There are more children than earth can handle. birthrate is getting bigger, which may lead us to something not really cool. That's all.

(do you remember when Eion said in the interview that he was some kind of witness of human's population number in the earth get doubled?)

Nice work - this really cleans it up a lot. Can definitely hear 'eight' very clearly now.

I wrote a quick script which automatically tests codes against http://cosecha-transmisiones.com/ . I've tested about 2000 or so permutations based on the results on my webpage (see sig) but no joy so far.

As an aside, there are 106,387,360,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 combinations of 36 characters from a-z and 0-9, and it would take 33,735,210 quadrillion quadrillion quadrillion years to test them all at a rate of 100 queries per second. I suspect they'd block my IP before that time....

I could hear 2, 8, se-- (7) and so forth, they're obviously cut, but I don't think anything can be made of those, as they could as well be something else than numbers.

My personal opinion is that this track doesn't include any codes, because they've usually made it "a bit" easier for the listener if there has been one. The voices seem to be modified beyond repair, so if there's a meaning it's probably only significant to them.

Did anyone ever figure out what these numbers were?

I'm a long time lurker on this site. When the record came out I was following this thread and going to post my theory on the code, but I was too lazy, thinking "ah, somebody else will think the same as me and post it anyway", but I am not sure if anybody ever did.

As one user said, some of the numbers sound Spanish (ocho (8) etc). I speak Japanese and English and even from day one, whenever I play the song (like I just did tonight) I sing some of the numbers in Japanese (ichi (1), ni (2), kyu (9)) and some in English (6, 0).

Given TH's worldwide release campaign, I always thought the chain could be a mix of numbers from different languages (maybe even the countries involved in the release campaign?) and if we figured it out, there would be another code to enter in the cosecha-transmissiones website, which is long since gone now (but still there on Wayback Machine?).

I'm sure somebody else must have had this thought, or may have even figured out a code somewhere, or figured out there was never anything else on the cosecha site. If they did let me know, I've always been curious about it because the 36 numbers is too much of a coincidence not to be anything, and sometimes I wonder, what if they were just waiting for someone to figure this bit out before they move onto the next thing
