Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Radiohead, AiR(earlier work), Boards of Canada, AFX, Autechre

dabble in stuff by Burial, Klute, Flying Lotus, Brian Eno, Future Sound of London, Peter Gabriel etc.

top list is chronological in how i came about my musical progression, and it was AiR that got me into BoC and the rest is history. Have to admit that I've been almost exclusively been listening to AE for the last 2 years or so, until TH. Never thought i'd get into AE when i first bought quaristice 5 years ago heh!

Charles Mingus.

I find most electronic music terrible, even the acclaimed stuff is just, i don't know-- tasteless?

I would never classify BoC as an electronic act.
