Does anyone have the definitive artwork for Old Tunes Vol. 2 and R35TT so that I can add to these FLAC's

Thanks

Anybody got any picks for what tracks here have any sound that was previously hidden now more up front? I've noticed A09 of RR35TT has a higher frequency backing the flutes I never heard before. Mushyz also has the same thing going on. I know most of the whole remastering was about bringing these higher frequencies more up front, but besides much better clarity there's only certain tracks where it really stands out like these I think.

Man, these sound soooo good. It's awesome to finally have OT Vol 2 in really good quality at last, some of my favorites are on there (Mukinabaht, Powerline Misfortune...). And just in time for christmas.

Thanks a lot for the gift, you rock. :D

I had once this same idea of remastering: create another copy of the audiofile and duplicating the pitch to reach some specific high frequency sounds. You just did it with some huge patience. You have my respect =)

do these sound better than that gal who supposedly had the tapes but faked it and ran it through a master too? anyone know what I'm referring to?

Yeah I remember her. Gave some story about raising money for a sick relative or something when mdg called her out as I recall.

it appears these predate the chicks fake tapes right?

wow!! those are the ones I'm more familiar with and replaced the original mp3s,

in any case, it sounds WAY better. barring an actual release from WARP of this music70 gems and the oddities of R35, its as good as it gets.

hearing so many things I hadn't heard before, and appreciating songs I skipped over in past because the detail was too muffled

masterful way of polishing the turd, its unbelievable these are those same mp3 sourced

so much so I'm ok with no release if it meant getting some stuff that we truly have never heard (hooper bay, acid memories)

I can't believe aphex did a drop of 155 tracks on soundcloud, even hearing joyrex tape tracks in complete clarity is sublime,

i hope BoC has at least considered something like this, or even a commercial release would be great!

Soundcloud dump would be insane in a good way, but I don't see it happening. They are low key people but once its time to put their work out to the public, presentation is always a big piece of it.

Remember when we got a Twoism reissue in 2002 and everyone thought it was the start of a proper reissue program? Yeah, I remember that...

Thanks for this- My concern with this, having listened to it up at the studio, is that the stereo spread goes too far - having mastered for the past 16 years, I'd advise easing back on that a bit and maybe doing per-band stereo spreading instead - I would leave off the mids for the most part (maybe expand the upper mids a little, but not much) and concentrate on the highs.
But otherwise it's a good mix, and obviously a huge amount of work. Most of the time when you hear 'remastered' it means "louder and much worse", and I'm glad you haven't done that here. I thought I could hear some compression on one of the tracks, but it could've been another adjustment which sounded similar. Well done, at any rate.
Cheers,
M@
