I agree with Opothecary. BOC weren't fans of the Clintons. Having said that, I think the aesthetic is to often have a dual purpose and Whitewater probably refers to both instances.

BoC are in that comfortable grey area between obscure and mainstream where political views can be expressed without much repercussion.

The first thing that spring to mind to me is a big canyon in Canada full of pine trees and rocks with obviously a big river running down it, it goes with the BoC naturist vibe.. does not have an anti Clinton vibe to me. I think this track should be taken at face value.

I agree personally. I was trying to make the same point earlier, but the entire track's soundscape is that of Pine Forests and Kayaking to me. Some of the darker sounding tracks have political undertones, but I really don't think that their sights were trained on the Clinton's personally. Lots of statements about US policy in general on IABPOITC, that does technically involve the Clintons, but I don't think it was about any particular administration. Not much changes between presidents anyway, the Dems do behind closed doors exactly what the Republicans do openly. Its just about how they talk publicly, but when you look at it, very little actually changes. Just the political slogans.

That's partially why I prefer music without lyrics (which is a concept that some people cannot fathom). There is often no direct connection with reality, so instead of a track being about something, the listener interprets it in a more personal, abstract way.

I should note, I don't consider vocal samples to be 'lyrics'

The blue seen from space is as a result of the low-end of the light spectrum filtering through the air before it hits the water, leaving only blue hues.

How about the blue seen from the ground? Water is certainly blue; it just needs to be deep enough for light to be sufficiently absorbed while passing through it, since you are looking *through* the water, not *at* it like a solid object.

Well, as water is Hydrogen and Oxygen, I suppose you would be right. It would have a similar light filtering effect as our atmosphere in that the short wavelengths scatter within making it glow blue. It is kind of like saying that air is blue, though. Its effect in filtering light isn't strictly the same as a colour is it?
