Messi is just astonishing isn't he. Ronaldo maybe be more "complete" but Lionel just has that bit of magic no one else will ever have.

Watch the replay of his goal last night, the one that shows the goal from behind the goalmouth so you can watch his face. Once he gets the ball back his eyes NEVER leave the ball. Not once. Not even before he shoots. Complete instinct. He knew exactly where everyone and everything was and exactly where he was shooting.
Incredible.
Incredible.
Superlatives are wasted on him, there is nothing else you can say. He is by far the most talented i've seen in my life.
In other news, Portugal getting flattened by the Germans. Not bad for a team without a striker

Really enjoying this World Cup so far - more than the last couple. Lots of bright starts, lots of goals.
I also love World Cups for the silly little things that always go with them. Things like this: http://t.co/LxRohpuTx9
It's basically "football Christmas", isn't it?

Been a couple of tame matches now, Iran v Nigeria and Brazil v Mexico were snoozefests. This Russia v Korea match looks boring currently.

Yeah Ochoa (sp) was incredible. Man of the match for sure.
What are peoples bets on England v Uruguay?

...only that Suarez will be involved in SOME kind of controversy. Whether that's a wonder-goal, red card, blatant dive/bite/cheat, or having his knee wrecked by a Stevie-G tackle in the first 5 minutes - SOMETHING will blow up at some point.fujee wrote:Yeah Ochoa (sp) was incredible. Think we'll get a result though. 2-1 England.
Yeah I reckon a result for England. Uruguay have Godin in defence thoguh, and he is unbelievable. If there is a result, either team goes out so it's a biggie!
Tim Cahill's goal though, what a volley!
