You know, one of the most common things serious musicians always say in interviews is that they love fans digging into their songs and fashioning their own meanings out of what they find. It's so much more fascinating than the artist just laying it out there and making it plainly obvious, this interpretation might mean absolutely nothing but I love reading all of this stuff, I have to admit.

It's basically just a theory, which I'm keen to see proven right or wrong. Any result would be because of some degree of enlightenment.

And the chance for a discussion is stimulating if nothing else.

I'm not sure adding images to suggest my theory is wrong (without any evidence backing it up) adds much to the discussion though. Such posts reveal more about the poster than the subject matter, I feel.

I'll reiterate that I am happy to be wrong should a more truer revelation be uncovered (no pun intended).

Wow this Bill guy comes across like my twin, thanks for that. He seems to see our social constructs a lot like I do. The connection you made between it and BOC expression at times (ex. Beautiful Place, Tomorrow's Harvest) nails one of the core, recurring feelings I receive from the bros' work too.

I feel it well beyond their music, it's things like the HS collective and Red Moon nights (ya Cups how many have we missed trying not to see flying elephants in works of art about flying elephants LOL?), their general love of certain aspects of the past and our memories of it (a whole conversation in itself), living in an environment where you can actually hear your own voice above the noise, the desire to generally disconnect in order to grow self identity, etc. The non-music art side of the HS collective is something we've mentioned off and on before too, I'd love to see more...just the mostly photographic stuff we've gotten to see is awesome. By the way, everyone's work on One on Twoism--personally I see it as an inseparable part of HS itself (the music and artwork), I love the idea of a group of people growing a shared body of expression across media based on shared interests.
