If we could choose from the old tunes openers too I would be choosing spectrum no question.zeoevil wrote:What? No love for Spectrum? I voted for Into the Rainbow Vein, though. Pure distilled bliss.

Wildlife Analysis for texture, Ready Lets Go for minimalism, Rainbow Vein for nostalgia, Gemini for context. I ultimately voted for Wildlife Analysis as it symbolized BoC's origins & ideals perfectly.

I love Spectrum. Favorite track from Old Tunes 1. Though listing releases other than the main albums with vignette openers would probably dilute the votes.zeoevil wrote:What? No love for Spectrum? I voted for Into the Rainbow Vein, though. Pure distilled bliss.

Ready Let's Go would be my favorite. But does anyone else think this may be because of the name of the song? When I hear the song, I then think of the title, and it fits so perfectly I can "see" the words written out in my mind's eye. I don't really get that with the other openers.

If we're going for vignettes only, the opener for 35TT would be a pretty worthy contender, beautiful little track.Rodheh wrote:I love Spectrum. Favorite track from Old Tunes 1. I agree . A01 from 35TT is a classic opening track. most of the vignettes are my favourites rather than full tracks . I do love the albums as a whole but I love the idea of a vignettes mix, some of them are just otherworldly, setting so many moods.Skimming Stone wrote:If we're going for vignettes only, the opener for 35TT would be a pretty worthy contender, beautiful little track.Rodheh wrote:I love Spectrum. Into the Rainbow Vein is my second choice, but Ready Lets Go, I don't know...it gets you prepared for this ride of craziness, bliss, and entrapment. That's what I love about it. I feel sometimes I can hear them saying "Ready Lets Go". Then again, must be the voices inside my head.

Man, I had to go with Gemini. It sets the mood for the whole album (just like every other intro), but it's different, somehow. It genuinely sounds like the intro to a soundtrack or movie, with the production studio-esque jingle at the beginning. It reminds me of the THX sound or something.

I can't decide between Spectrum or Ready Let's Go as my favorite intro track. Spectrum just gets your attention so quickly for old tunes. Ready let's go is like the calm before the storm. Honestly they do intro's better than any other electronic artists out there.
