Six years ago I was NTJ and right on the border or I or E. INTJ or ENTJ. N and T remain consistent but I guess practicing law has corrupted me as now I'm scoring heavily P. "ENTP" the Debater, which I suppose makes sense.

I see this is based on the Jung principle! This test is pretty accurate but I'm not surprised by that because many questions are straight forward. It's just an explanation of your answers in my opinion.

A few months ago I did a course for my job which included an Insights Discovery test. This personality test is based on the same Jung principle. Although I already knew which color I was, I was eagerly awaiting the results of the test on the first course day because I only answered 25 questions with a bit of the same principle as this free test but the questions weren't straightforward. I was handed out a 20 page booklet an astounding description about my personality. I was having goosebumps all over while reading it because it totally displayed who I am and how one should approach me as well as how I approach live in general. If I ever want to tell someone who I am then I only need to give this result and one totally knows who I am.
I wish this test wasn't a payable service because I do recommended this to everyone. By knowing the main archetypes you always know what to expect from people, because you can "read" them, and you know how to approach each individual the best way. Not only as a manager but also in normal life I try to use this and it really helps a lot.

If only people would have these labels stuck on their foreheads though. But if you do know their type/color, I reckon it's very beneficial to know how to best interact with them.

Actually people do. Most of the times you can judge from the looks if people are introvert or extrovert. If the looks don't reveal it, a talk might give you a quick insight. Then you only need to figure out if people are thinkers or feelers. Now you got the 4 main archetypes which offer a few dos and don'ts.

Guys, help me out here. I used to get INFJ most of the time when I took this test in my teens and early 20s.

But for the first time... I can't even take the test. I got to about page 5 or 6 of the questions, and I realized I had reacted to -almost every question- with paralyzing indecision. Like I could see multiple ways I'm strongly represented by either of the two options.

Maybe it's the way these questions in particular seemed to be worded? I don't know, it seemed almost impossible to answer any of them without having more info about the situations described. It's like "Hey would you rather eat peanut butter and jelly or go play golf" - well, which day of the frigging week is it and how's my depression doing? I don't know! Am I supposed to be answering this for when I'm middling in the thick of a depressive jag, or when I'm elated coming out of one?

And I promise you I'm not being willfully obtuse, I -enjoy- taking this kind of inventory, but I read these questions and almost every one makes me think, "Well come on, that could fall either way." I just think there's a very low probability that with THAT MANY of the questions 'neither strongly agree nor disagree', it's going to be able to determine what the machinations of my personality are.

I feel like I'm quite different in work than I am with friends and people close to me, so I have the same problem and find myself answering what seem like the same questions very differently. The thing is, it always seems to balance out, because I end up with the same result (INTJ-A) every time. I guess they take different contexts into account, somehow, with the way they word the questions.
The funny thing is sometimes I answer the questions more according to how I'd like to be - more extrovert, say, but still end up with the same profile - it appears that I can't even conceive of how to answer the questions as a different personality...

I work in a small group with quite different personalities than mine and sometimes it's quite incredible the gap between how we see the same things. Doing the same Insight test as a team confirmed this and actually has helped quite a lot.

Just keep the slider in the middle if you feel either/or, that is in itself an attribute

INFP. Also the 16 personalities description of this personality type really hit home with me in every way.

Welp, I got INFP again. I don't know... I remember a time when that really made more sense to me, but I'm not sure it's true anymore. I just can't really relate to a lot of the description of what an INFP is. I am -not- shy, I adore being the center of attention and in fact get mean and testy if other people compete for it,.. I don't consider myself like a 'nurse' to my social circle at all. I'm not sure how the questions and answers didn't pick up on that. I think I just suck at taking this test.

INTP. Seems like many people here are INTP based on the results.

I used to be ENFP whenever I took this, but then I guess I turned to my thoughts more.

They change. I've become a much for introverted and logical person throughout my teenage years. I used to be ENFP but now I'm INTP.
