Ah of course I know this. Don't get thrown off by the inclusion of disco in the title everyone. It is straight up Indian electronica.

Alright, someone FINALLY posted some Raymond Scott.

Not sure that it qualifies as "Electronica" but all of Manhattan Research Inc. is worth a heavy listen:

Not often can it be said without any exaggeration that someone was ahead of their time but this guy most certainly was. Puts some early computer music to shame, certain bits. While the fathers of much the technology predated his work, I like to think of him as the father of electronic music with the sense of the word "music" emphasized. Many, many of the conventions within electronic music we know today have roots in his work.

That's ridiculous, when was the first 'official' house track? That must predate it by a good few years at least.

The thing that's incredible is that it's not just the sounds, he's got the basic template of modern electronic music there, hasn't he? A repeating rhythm/baseline with a melody or melodic flourishes on top. There's even spoken 'samples' in there.

JCN - Essentially what I'm referring to with my comment on giving "music" emphasis within "father of electronic music", there.

The first track is a prophetic palette of sounds as far as I'm concerned.
