I really stopped caring about pre-twoism about 10 fakes ago.

It's easier to stop caring about pre-Twoism if you prefer their official material

I still care because of how special the old tunes are to me, but I'm pretty good at keeping my expectations low so I pretty much never get this 'it's happening' feeling that others are referring to.

That sounds like it's straight out of a quintessential 80s teen movie. It could be a montage or intro clip for sure.
Also, that doesn't really sound like Wouldn't You Like To Be Free to me. There is the beginnings of a drum beat and a slight whistling sound that are not present in the sample of Wouldn't You Like To Be Free.

Once again, I'm with Skimming Stone here. Hearing those old albums is mostly something I want for closure, and they would probably be my favorite BoC albums out of their whole discography, but it's comforting to know that there's an entire world of released and easily available music that has yet to be explored by me. Some of it really deserves the recognition that these albums apparently don't want !

I noticed that too, but it could quite easily be some random person using his avatar of course. I'm almost certain Tobacco would be a BoC fan though, and who knows, maybe he browses twoism occasionally.

This shit is wild. Even if it's fake I think the community getting together to figure shit out is so cool <3

The more I listen to this it's fucking wierd. It's supposedly from some point before 94, right? So it's a couple of years pre-Twoism and it sounds nothing like anything on Twoism really, not even particularly easy to pin it next to the old tunes stuff. It doesn't sound like anything from anywhere else 93, 94... except maybe that-era videogame music? But when have they ever done anything along those lines? With that trackerish sampled bassline and the 80s digital synths over the top. The lead synth sounds like something from the same kind of noodling vein as Original Nlogax... Meanwhile it sounds like it's pulled from a longer thing, which makes for an odd 50-odd second opener for what's supposedly a shoegaze-sounding album? Yeah... it's just odd in its own right but for what it's supposed to be? Not really buying it.

Neither. When I first heard it I got absolutely no impression that it was BoC, and I'm surprised people were so convinced by it. I will be very shocked if it does turn out to be real.

Sounds like some mid 80s Cure thing if they turned the cheese factor up to 10. I still want Remmy Kid to actually be the "backwards" version of The Smallest Weird Number that's on R35TT.

haven't logged in a while, just logged in to say this.
if this was real, wouldn't have boc already have taken down the video and maybe issued a statement on the subject?
this makes no sense to me, every so-called "unreleased" track on youtube (that isn't on OT1&2 and R35TT) is fake
and wtf would wouldn't you like to be free be on after remmy kid when remmy's the first track and wouldn't you
like to be free is the last track?
i do think the tracks alright, but get over it lads

Wouldn't You Like to Be Free is the second track on PBN, not the last. Also, since when do BoC make statements on tracks? Besides the leaking of the old tunes and r35tt, making a statement about a minute long track isn't really something I see them doing. Taking down a track would probably make it seem more suspicious to be honest, and I can't imagine they care all that much about this one track leaking. Although, I do think this is fake anyway.

Very very Devo. 90% sure it isn't legit though.

Devo has been cited in multiple interviews by the brothers as being one of their favorite bands. When they released their "Top 10 songs" lists which mostly consisted of either really obscure recordings or songs that don't actually exist, one of the songs on it was named after a Devo song (Slap Your Mammy). If this was the EP where they were paying tribute to their favorite bands (MBV being the obvious first), opening with a quick nod to Devo would make sense, wouldn't it?
Somewhere, in some vault, I bet you there's a BoC tune that sounds like the Wu-Tang Clan.

Definately old boards of canada. Before they realized they could market the damaged sound, which is nostalgic compared to astral projection or autechre.

it doesn't fit everything else known about the album at all, and if by some chance it's real why would someone post not share, and just post 0:59 of one track instead of going for max props...smells a whole lot like fake and not much at all like real
