As I recall, pundits called the General Election within minutes of the polls closing. It was the polls BEFORE the General Election that were off.

That being said, the Newcastle vote is worrying low for Remain.

Sunderland vote overwhelming in favour of Leave. Bit nervous, to be honest. Leave might have this.

Yeah, Sunderland and Newcastle votes well off predictions, not looking good for remain.....

I wonder if the brothers voted In or Out, if they did voted.

I've no doubt that the detailed post-Brexit plans that Farage, PM Johnson and Chancellor Gove have drawn up will kick in and we'll see a blossoming of rights and rewards for the ordinary working people of the UK and iron protection of public services and the NHS, just like they've always promised and worked for, throughout their careers.....

I was just about managing to keep my anger and disappointment in check but the inevitable prospect of Scotland leaving and the slow breakup of the U.K. has pushed me over the edge. This isn't like a general election where you can put up with it in the knowledge that in 5 years you'll get another chance to do it better. This is final and we've chosen to fuck up the country good and proper based on a romantic fiction of Britishness. This is only the start of our slide into global irrelevance.

That's strange - because I heard from someone that there were talks that the Brexit would put Britain as a global superpower once again, or something similar?

Honestly between this and Drumpf, 2017 is going to be a very interesting year to live in.
