I was right behind the umbrella. We went in after the first hour. The wind blew the elastic on my mask off. The weather made it hard and I was NOT DRESSED for it.

I saw tobacco, squarepusher and aphex twin all within the past 48 hours. Seriously insane sets from all 3. Squarepusher played this ultra jungle bass track right in the middle and I've been trying to ID it since, pretty sure it's unreleased...

full disclosure- I've gotten downright obsessed with aphex in the past month or so

lots of hidden gems, across the Soundcloud dumps and all over the place, really

dont care for all his material, the screaming insane psycho stuff lol, but chill phex, all day every day!

and I love how much he experiments with sounds and thought inducing sounds, so many soundscapes out there just waiting for you to discover, possibly right under your nose too. can't fault his prolific ness, sifting is fun too. it feels like BoC exploration a bit, but all over the place genre wise and generally a lot more mischievous than dark BoC when things get dark.

I think soylent night released under hell interface is as intense dark as BoC gets, but pales in comparison.

also- SAW I and II are seminal ambient records too, I wish I could re-live listening to them the first 10x, but I've known that for some time.

'8-glock+onion' is a fun WTF saccharine beat that turns against you, I love it !!!

the flute is a great touch half way through too,

I never thought I'd say this, but between the hidden gems, I'd definitely put him up there with BoC, when I used to think he was really talented nonetheless but not of that stature.

Still, been a BoC fan for about a decade now, and probably not going anywhere

He's created an entire universe of sound, and he's still expanding it. Search your anger. Feel the power coursing. That tingling...yep, dark side buddy. Also Texas-size props to TTK who made it so I didn't really miss it. Apparently there were a lot of other recordings going on, it'll be cool to see what pops up.
