It does state on the BoC Pages the video Invocation was directed by Melissa Olson along with Dayvan Cowboy. I can't remember who came to that conclusion at the moment. It may have been stated in an interview with the band if memory serves me correctly.

As for the two ladies on the High Scores ep, I always liked to believe they were the real Julie and Candy.

Ah, it seems very likely she did direct it then. My bad.

I always liked thinking the same thing about if those 2 girls are Julie and Candy. But there really isn't any tie to that photo and that track name that we have. Then when I learned that one of the girls is Louise, who is Peter Ian Campbell's sister, I left the idea to very low possibility.

As for the cold desert talk. It's most likely a tundra. They have other photos of themselves taken in one. Maybe the same one, even.

Could this be from sesame street too? Especially the numbers painted on the trees?
If not, where is it from?

Oh I never knew one of the girls in the photo is that Ian guy's sister. Did he state that somewhere? I've sort of been out of the BoC loop for a minute. You could be right about the tundra. I didn't think it was the dessert actually. I just wanted to clear up someone saying it couldn't be cold enough in the dessert to ware heavy winter coats.

So if Melissa is real, which I'm sure is likely now, her public presence is just as mysterious as BoC's. She must have been a really big part of their history, if the samples in BoC's tunes are turning out to be the clips MO uses in her videos. They had to have collaborated for sure to get her that info. One thing about some of the footage she used, like the seagull flying in the DVC video, I remember seeing that as a photo first on the old DavidAC site or it may have been the original BoC site when it still had pics up.

When I first watch the Dayvan Cowboy video, I seen the footage of the seagull. I'd specifically remembered it from before and had thought it was awesome to see actual footage instead of the photo. Also the Invocation video has that same seagull footage along with a clip of a caterpillar from Chris Cunningham's Telecom commercial.

Do you know who made the Boards of Canada Transmission video? I don't think anyone has come forward for credit on that one yet? All the promo videos that came out for TH were clearly credit to Neil Krug except that Transmission video.
