They have to make money in order to carry on doing what they do.
Either they try and optimise their saleability by dumbing down and doing dinner party sludge that appeals to 50 quid man or they get some extra cash from advertising and usage in TV like this. Doing the latter means they can stick to their creative and artistic guns.
It's a bit of a jump from letting one of your tracks be used on a TV show - and not even a really bad show, CSI is okay-ish imho - to going headlong into the whole celebrity universe. Infact it's such jump it's nonsensiscal. You might as well say 'what next? M+M apply for jobs in local government, move into politics and end up being minsters for work and pensions?' or 'what next? M+M? Do a track with loads of samples from Desperate Housewives? And do a cameo in the show?" You're taking one little thing and going overboard.
Hey bunny man, i hear ya, that's why i said it was my opinion and then went on to say that it didn't matter anyway. i'm just not personally into the idea and again, who the hell am i? But they could make music for tv,etc. that isn't BOC and still make money. The reason I said that about Di Caprio at Cannes was because of a seperate thing that happened with a professional hockey player in Canada, that really had nothing to do with them. It's just that sometimes artists change when they are exposed to an audience of elites, but again it was just a flipant comment. And if you read what I posted you'd see that. I'll remember to check with you next time before I post.

Fuck csi. I cant believe this, the myspace ad had me in shock, and now this and I dont know what to think. I cant believe everyone thinks this is cool. They seem to have been carrying on what they were doing for years without puting their music on shitty tv shows, im fucking dissapointed in who ever is making these decisions.I hate this show, that fucking ginger guy is a qweef,fuck him, what a shitty actor. Disgracefull, what a great way to kill a song.
w/e im just waiting to see what boc does next. its like, the most unexpected places you would think to hear theyre music is always where it is. it just pisses me off because i dont think it does the music justice.

I think that DiCaprio spot was a perfect commercial. It illustrates how I feel right now.. at the library... studying...
They put their song on csi because warp begged them.. they begged them with fresh brownies and hookers.. and cocaine- lots of cocaine.
and now warp has made a small fortune. and boc are none the wiser. to them it's all "dad look at the tv! someones playing our song, playing at a higher voltage than ever before"
