I recall a few years back when this cd booklet image appeared it was thoroughly debunked here as a fake/photoshop job (but I’m too lazy to search for the thread). It seems to be widely circulated now.

How do you recall it could've been faked? I don't really see how. It would take some real effort to be able to upscale the original EHX image. It would also be really hard to find the exact text and source image and recreate it from there.

Here's the original size of the EHX one, btw. I just don't see how someone could simply upscale from this and have it look that good.

Lol, not to sound like an asshole, but even if he somehow upload the legit WYLTBF in its fullest, I have a feeling that you guys still call this guy a bullshiter until MDG or someone from Hexagon Sun come around and confirm it.

Can't blame anyone, though. There are wayyyy too many fakes going around recently. It's annoying as hell.

I'm only skeptical because recently, someone purported to have the Closes liner notes and it was another prank. That was the last time I bought into something like that. To quote the Who, "I won't get fooled again" XD

Yeah, I matched the chords of B04 to Wouldn't You Like to Be Free and they sound really similar. It is really the same chords

That image is legitimate. There's light and staples visible from the scan which is also a completely different scan of the cover and wayyy higher quality than the only other version from EHX. It is legitimate. Yes, it was found on a hoax video, but of course, the uploader probably just used some image he got from elsewhere on the net.

I don't believe this "tildevplus" guy for second though. His original statement reeked of BS and the "random 35 tracks tape" connection is even more bullshit, unless he was referring to like A07 lol.

B09 kinda sounds like WYLTBF, maybe he was talking about that?

Note that a lot of tracks on are early versions of songs that would later be released, so perhaps B09 became WYLTBF. Because of this, I'd say R35TT was made around 92-93.

Agreed. It looks like someone just took a photo of it with a shitty camera, which lost the details.

Though I don't get what you mean by R35TT being bullshit, mdg confirmed all the songs on it were real long ago (albeit just a mixture, and never a mixtape the brothers made).

I think it's B04, the chords in B04 match almost perfectly with the chords in WYLTBF, although there's some slight differences

I'm talking about the: "there is also a track on the random 32 tracks tape that has the exact same chord progression and key but is just an acoustic version". None of the acoustic tracks sound remotely like WYLTBF to me.

I don't believe B04, A10, or B14 are connected to Play By Numbers in any way. They sound earlier, not shoegaze-y at all. More like Acid Memories era. The only one I could see being connected to PBN is B09 which uses almost the same percussion as WYLTBF. Maybe A08 too, but I doubt it, doesn't sound anything like the descriptions.
And of course, I still think A07 is Numerator but it's unrelated to what that guy said so I'll leave it out here.
