There's something really lovely about so many of us old guard appearing out the woodwork!

13 years since TH.... Remember when TH came out and we were all like "ah yes - the new album sounds bleak to reflect the bleak, dark times we were living in..." in 2013! That seems like some sort of social/political/cultural/economic golden age compared to right now!

Yeah! It's nice to be back again, I kind of felt like I... just didn't have much to contribute for a long time? I'm not sure what it was exactly. I was kinda off on my own journey.

Likewise - There seemed to be a bit of a demographic change (no shade/disrespect to anyone who joined around then! I'm sure you're all lovely!) that made me question what i was doing here a little. Plus, there was other stuff going on in the real world.

I think that's it for me too - same here, no disrespect intended to others - but there did seem to be some sort of changing-over of the group and vibe that didn't really feel... like a "fit" for me. Not that the boards here were ever a homogenous monolith to begin with, but you probably get what I'm getting at. Things do change, and it definitely isn't the only time a community I'm part of experiences an evolution that I feel kind of moves away from my... temperate zone. The words for this are hard to find, huh.

I totally get it. I felt the same, but that's ok right? It's healthy I think. Besides, I'm still in touch with almost everybody I'd like to keep in touch with, one or two exceptions aside. Heck, just yesterday I was chatting offline with Techboy Twoist, Rikkiebags, ADecentMan, Scyye. I frequently ping 2020k, yourselves...

I’ve always appreciated the OGs welcoming people like myself who joined back in 2013 as a young lad with strong opinions.

It's cool to see so many familiar names in this thread. I was in such a different place in life when I read them last
