well...like my own funeral. it just makes me feel weird knowing that many people are going to be looking at me and i'll be stuck in some awful pose or something and i won't be able to move. embarrassing!

Sounds like a good excuse to go with cremation. That's the route I'm taking. It's a lot cheaper too. And fuck the urn, I'm thinking mayonaise jar.

I wonder i how much you know about the "Warp" label? I follow that label from the beginning in 1989, back then they colaborated with "Outer Rhythm Records" just to survive. The Warp label gave a chance and put themselfs as a small label at risk with artists and music nobody heard before. I admit a lot changed since they became big and moved to London. It's exactly what I said before. My only point in this thread has been that I used to like Warp's output alot, and now I don't so much. What is so confusing, and how am I contradicting myself? There must be some misunderstanding.

Oh and please don't feel the need to call me "Mr. Musician", Milieu is just fine.

And looking back on your comments in this thread, it would seem that you agree with my point that Warp isn't as good as it used to be. So what seems to be the problem you have when someone else says it?

Well milieu don't forget that AFX, BoC, Autechre and Plaid are still on the Warp label. So they still like it. And yes i said that Warp isn't what it used to be but that doesn't mean i stopped liking it.

I haven't forgotten, and if you catch my first comment, I illustrated my respect for those artists by saying that they are all good enough to carry themselves without label assistance anymore. No harm done!

I totally agree with you that Warp isn't anymore what it used to be and I certainly do not like that.
But I do think you contradict yourself here..

Anyway.. this discussion is leading to nowhere I guess. We are comparing two complete different time-zones.

when i said they have an excellent early catalog i sincerely meant it. the "bullshit half the time" thing was in reference to the last couple years, and i'm sorry for not making that more clear.

it is a pretty useless debate though! there is too much good music around to bicker about one label's output.

No offense but Reflex or Planet Mu don't even come close to the early Warp catalog, but this is a useless discourse idd

most definitely : Plaid, Broadcast, Brothomstates, !!!, Aphex, Autechre, Jackson, and so on. i still think warp still has a lot to offer us in the way of music. its kind of like mass music for the underground. i also saw Maximo Park at the Isle of Wight festival this june just passed. i thought they were pretty good. certainly worth checking out, anyway. and nobody mentioned Hell Interface!
