Hills west, you should toss some of your dusty tunes up. I thought you were just a douche so i never checked your myspace page . But to my suprise you can lay down some good tunes my friend.

Ok.. time to be thoroughly embarrassed, but I've become slightly drunk upon returning home this evening. A lot of old stuff here, a few selections from 1998-2000. Pardon the mixing.

Dirge
I did this the first night upon acquiring my initial hardware set up which consisted of a MC-505 and Kurzweil something or other. K2500? Not sure. From 1998.

Linus & Lucy
From a competition between a friend and I to re-do the Linus & Lucy theme. Yeah. Pure cheese.

Snookum
Beginning to get angry at things. From the start of 1999 (?). Yeah, four on the floor towards the end. I also had just bought a Korg Z1. For those of you familiar with sample cd's, you should recognize some sounds. Funny thing, that a version of this without the vocals was used to demo Quake3 at E3 that same year.

Randomization
I had just quit one of the best jobs in the world and had also just bought the original Virus. If you know the Virus, you'll recognize some patches.

Manson Rip
Marilyn Manson had been tapped to do some music for "Alice", a game I had worked on. No one was that happy with the work he had submitted so I took his theme and completely reworked it into this tune. Kind of like it, kind of don't. This was then used as the foundation for Chris Vrenna to work from once he was contracted to do the music for the game. If you've never heard the soundtrack, it's beautiful.

Drifting
I had posted this before.. and it's actually one of my favorite pieces, which I may revisit some day. A friend had just passed away and this was the piece that was produced upon hearing the news.

Alice Mix
Short into for a demo version of Alice that was showing at E3 that year. The best memory of this piece was Steven Spielberg saying, "This should win a Grammy!" when he was watching the demo. Yay!

This is the old me.. unfortunately I have no idea where my old Screamtracker tracks are.. I know I bounced them down to cassette once upon a time, but they could be anywhere. Since then I've sold all the gear mentioned above and moved primarily to old analog (VCO & DCO) synths and other assorted bits. Anyone familiar with my current style (?) will know that it isn't that similar at all.. or is it?

It's great hearing all of these old tunes! I just wish I could find my old cassettes. Bah! On with the future..

Personally, I think it's well worth the download.. a lot of great tracks in there.
