I also think that Audiotrack A10 might be cut from Wouldn't You Like To Be Free?. It has a mellow start and then leads into the snippet that we currently have, or vice versa.

Also, giving a friendly reminder that this video is still up.

I still want to know where they got the 'high-res' album art, makes it seem legit

im still thinking that the original picture was either from a movie/tv show or a magazine (the shine on the side looks like stapling) and the dude found the source then added the text

I think if someone found the original source of the cover art then I think someone else would have also found it after the kerfuffle and pointed it out by now. As the recent discover of the cover art from Closes, the possibility that the images can be sourced should not be overlooked. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say it was Peter, just like the Closes cover.

previews...of one track?
is confirmed? are any previews confirmed?

like the album covers...you can take chunks of any junk and just post it, fulfilling the illusion of a set of tracks.

my buddies and i did an experiment to see if hair band metal was still popular with the ladies :)
this was in the myspace days. we were called Licensed to Rawk. we posted fake pictures, our faces photos hoped onto motley cure and poison and metal skool. then took samples form songs like rock lobster, pitched it down and distorted the fuck out of it.
90% of those that joined where chicks. [supposed chicks] long and short of it...non of us played one single note, yet we gave the impression of having a full compliment of music, a tour schedule, etc etc.

doesn't take much to create the illusion. if we ACTUALLY played or released something...it would look as though we had this HUGE history at this point. not one ounce of it real.

Thats a cool experiment dude. I miss myspace and those kind of whacky experiments. I should try something like that again.

Some chick in Amsterdam did something KINDA similar recently. She told everyone she was going on a 3 week vacation to africa or somewhere but never really went anywhere, just posted pics on facebook of different places. Everyone believed her

The stapling makes it look like a scanned CD cover/booklet.

I got myself wrapped around that "Numerator" video recently. For long I just took it as a fake, but then I realised that if you click the name of the uploader and check "channels", it links to other two channels: AtalantaFugiens, who uploaded the Julie and Candy video that was used in the Cosecha game, and Hell Interface, who uploaded the "Look Sad Reel" video promoting the Lake Dolores listening event.

My question to those who know YouTube better than I do: could some random nobody have created that channel and just linked to those other two? Or is it necessarily true that the same person created all three channels? I mean, it's pretty certain that the two linked channels are legit, or am I wrong?

you can do that with any channel, that part of the channel is just for promoting other channels, they're not him

have you ever tried calling Vibes and asking if they know BoC or if they ever had the older unheard releases?

See also my response to it. Ive said before its one of those things 20 years on Id start to doubt my memory on were it not for hearing such a similar story from a similar area. Derby cwnn shop vs manchester. If it were ever officially debunked Id be embarassed but for now its something im pretty sure i saw. Hopefully enough people on here have met me to know im vague as hell but not a bser.

I'm with you on doubting your memory lol, as you get older crazy things you witnessed play tricks on your mind. Sometimes I wonder if I dreamed some stuff...

Before I'd really gotten in BOC, I'd moved away from Bury, and Vibes had changed hands too at some point. At the time when I think I saw 'Play By Numbers' there (I'm 90% sure that was it - I've yet to see any artwork that comes close), I didn't know the owner as such, but I was acquainted with him on a 'nod and hello' basis, seeing as I was in his shop so often. I've never thought about asking him, but I do know that he now owns a pub a few miles away, and runs it as a small venue for local bands too. It's all rock-based, and he had a rock DJ stint at a couple of clubs years ago, so I'm guessing he wouldn't be too interested in BOC. However, he may well be able to shed some light on the distributor/label. If I get chance to go over, I will.

Given MrMessiah's similar experience (which kind of validates my own experience in my mind), I'm wondering if Skam were responsible for it in some way. Manchester and Derby aren't so far apart.
