Sherbet Head and Skyliner are also very good basslines imo...very simple, yet so essential to the song.

The fucking Good Friday remix! That bass riff has been in my brain since the day heard it and I'm humming it constantly of late..(starts humming)

I know the song isn't actually by them..and I guess we don't even know yet if that bass riff is taken from the normal version of Good Friday, but whateva. I dig it.

There is no question in my mind that Boards of Canada's remix of Meat Beat Manifesto's Prime Audio Soup (vegetarian soup remix) has the best bass. I bloody love it!

Oscar See Through Red Eye is quite amazing. I have a very very hard time picking a "best" anything with BoC, there are so many different ways of approaching each category. Best bass how?

Anyway, as for the Basefree thing, I don't forget about it, I just intensely dislike it

but we've been over that before in a few other topics.

For some reason I just never feel like listening to Basefree - I don't know why though, it might just be that its really out of place on Twoism.

Open the Light is good to test subwoofer with becauseit's loooud ass but its low sine so it can sound of tune, badly out of tune, on dodgy woofers.

Yea I skip it when I listen to Twoism. It's a nice tune but not in the context of everything else it's with, imo.

really? im listening to the original aquarius from hair and it sounds like the slap bass and the percussion were sampled, but i dont hear the main bass riff. maybe its because im using my laptop speakers at the moment. am i wrong, or did they add another bass line on top of the original slap bass?

ive just gotten into this song again... i havent really listened since it first came out. its a DAMN good song. upon further inspection it sounds like the campfire headphase to me... only funk. anyone else notice that? it has the same airy quality.

Indeed. I've enjoyed this massively since it surfaced and still do. I definately notice the funkyness of it..I love playing the main groove on bass..mindless fun.

Why? themselves are an amazing band also.

all the tracks suggested have great bass lines, but nothing compares to the warm fuzzy bass of peacock tail. it warms my heart and stiffens my willy.
