There is obvious someone who want's to play with the BoC fans again...

Firts of all, I find it very suspicious that all the songs/samples are 96kbps wma files. This alone makes it unreliable imo.

02 acid memories, 06 echo the sun = Gescom - Stoop, from Skampler. I don't know how many times I've seen this one pass by as a BoC track but it's getting ridiculous.

22 northwest waters = Lego Feet - Northwest Water, also from the Skampler compilation.

3 close vol1 15 fonec = Korona
14 close vol1 16 trillions & hopper bay 03 circle 1, sound way to clean for a BoC tune..
...and of course a few OT songs

A few tracks are clearly not BoC tunes, it seems like someone is having a good laugh by fooling around with some of his own tunes.

I gave up searching for the unreleased BoC material about 3 years ago and believe me.. if there ever will be a full leak of this material we all find out very soon I guess.

Well.. you never really stop searching (where there's still hope...)...
So these unreleased BOC tracks are in fact the 0161 Skampler? For those who never heard of it, stop downloading the "Enlarge your Penis with Boards of Canada" demo-rare-album on Soulseek, go to your record store, and buy a few Skam records (Bola, Bola, Bola... and Bola).
(or if "buy" is an word you don't understand, download the "Mask" series... will be a good start)

No, that is not necessarily the case..
The hidden tracks by Gescom and Jega have been used as BoC fakes many times before though.

Btw, 0161 and Skampler are two different (exellent) compilations. ;)

Of course I know you want to help :)
My comment wasn't really addressed to you but to those who put the songs on the net in the first place.

I didn't know that you encoded them to .wma because .wma is so 1953 and I'm sure you are not that old ;)

Maybe there are a few gems in that package (96kbps for evaluation only, let's say so...). After all, you're not selling these on E-Bay

"Herald Hark Angel thing" is quite weird if it's real...
The "Hooper Bay" tracks are the same as those on the "Hooper Bay Fake - shrot version" (not the "Mum version". What worries me is tha t i begin to enjoy some of those tracks... Some of them definitely sounds to me like the short songs Ten & Tracer used to put on his website a few years ago (http://www.u-cover.com for more info and audio samples)

he didn't get around to all of 'em, but dismissed visual drone 12 and helios sound as fakesssss

and told me the "story" of the acid memories cover art (the morning after they had all been up all night hiking and camping, in the boards "backyard")
