Just by being around them, Nick McCabe mixed a track on the 3 Ep's, I think they picked up on some of the Verve's chaotic nature..

Glad to see there is a Beta Band / Steve Mason thread.
Got to see the Beta Band live once in Edinburgh also seen Steve live supporting his first solo release.

I remember first hearing their music during numerous episodes of "Trigger Happy TV". Hilarious show by the way. Good memories

I saw them live in 2004. It was the only concert I've ever been to and I was only there because Morrissey was headlining the event. I wasn't previously a fan but the Beta Band were superb.
