Oh thank you for posting this! Watched the vids posted higher in the topic again. His live show is a singular experience. Something to aspire to.

It's funny looking back at this thread as an incendiary moment of awe and inspiration for me as a musician. Being introduced to Lichens through this thread inspired me to try using my own voice and a looper for my compositions. I have been refining my approach ever since. Just played a set at the Chillits ambient festival in Northern California this past September where I played with my new Boss RC-600, an amazing loop station with so many more options than the ditto pedal I was using for so long (the same one that Lichens himself recommended I start with when I met him in 2014). Not to hijack this thread but here is a recording of my set:
