went and seen boca juniors vs argentinos juniors (i think) at la bombonerathis year..something went against the away team so all their fans were spitting & throwing piss - shouting abuse at us and as i looked up from the terrace thing above us there was this HUGE loogie spiraling down down down at me, i couldnt get out the way cos the amount of people so it landed all down my arm..it SUCKED! i really wanted to get involved in the football violence after that!!

Sounds like UK football terraces in the 1980s. Ah, those were the days. Eleventy-three pints of beer before the match, a quick punch up with some away fans in the local petrol station and then pissing in the coat pocket of the man stood in front of you in the match. Nice.....

Newcastle United - I'm an exile. Just for the record, I am joking in the post above. Although I remember the 80's at Newcastle, it's wasn't as rough as some places and I'm glad to say I was much too young to get involved with any of the mindless stuff anyway.

I actually remember my Dad being especially angry about some of the racist stuff at time (fans throwing bananas on the pitch when black players played, etc) and him giving me a lecture on the way home after the match about why it was wrong. I'd never seen him so angry.

Suddenly I'm reminded of why I like hockey so much... most of my pals tend to just smoke weed and watch the game from our basement :p

welcome radiobuzz... i'm new here myself... i find this place a nice break from the crap i find at other forums! it has actually become my #1 place to visit... i think i have a boc story to share aswell:

basically, i'm a city boy born in NYC and grew up in Los Angeles area. i was raised on hip hop and electronic music from the late 70s & early 80s and on through to today. living in the city, i was more involved in listening to more concrete or experimental electronic music like autechre (my favorite group). since i've been in a city environment, i never really got into boc although i bought some of their music... when i moved to pasadena, ca (lot of trees and stuff) i grew more appreciative of their sound... but now i live in davenport florida... vast fields, lakes, swampy lands, and forests throughout... they are now one of my favorite groups! that's probably why i didn't join this forum up until recently... because i wasn't fully aware of their sounds... and being a graphic designer myself, even the album artworks has come full circle to me (although i don't emulate the visuals with my work).

Humm, not many, I only got this, this and this. Mar del Plata is a pretty calm city. Boring sometimes. It's on the coast and has some pretty beaches so it's fun to get out in the summer because you run into groups of people talking in many different languages. And BTW, it's been like 8 years since I don't go to the beach... not a big fan.

Well, there are a couple of Quicksilver shops here so I'll see if I see it, maybe I can send it to you. Still they tend to get rid of the clothes after a while so I don't know if I could still find it.

You always seemed to me to be a reasoned and decent chap Mexicola. However, things will have to change around here as you see I'm from Sunderland, which means officially I'm required to hate you!!!! Although I'm amazed you are able to spell correctly. There's a circus in the Toon!!! Interesting to read your stories about your dad - top bloke by the sounds of it.
