I think they're just using their skills in order to put day jobs aside, and make their living completely off music. They're grown up boys now, eh 
The more various Sandison bros' portfolio gets, the better for them as far as money making goes. I presume we can expect more and more stuff like this going on in the future, would be interesting to see them getting into film music at some point. Hey, at least their own albums are not commercially oriented, and will remain so as long as they can support themselves with producing, commercials, remixes etc. You don't have to like James, U2 or Coldplay, even if You're a fan of Brian Eno. The point being, nobody is making you listen to stuff you don't like. What Sandisons are doing in their free time isn't really any business of ours, you control freaks, you...
