I used to play electronica when my mom would pick me up from work years back. There I was: "Mom! This track is really cool, you have to hear this!"... Sadly, she rarely enjoyed it and was usually pretty critical of it... hehe
My mom is really open-minded about things since the divorce. She likes euro-trance (from her weird mid-life crisis days) and Jazz.
I remember saying "you notice that a more diverse beat feel much better than a square 4/4 beat?"

speaking of parents and music.. I left brothers gonna work it out in my dads truck and he returned it to me this morning. He didn't have many great things to say about my taste.
But go fast music? Ehh vegas by the crystal method used to make me drive fast back when I was first driving. I listen to drive slow music now.

Jesus Built My Hotrod by Ministry usually does the trick. Or the first CSS album. Or Another Girl Another Planet by The Only Ones.
My GF and I recently went on a trip to the Pyrenees on my motorbike (didn't use my ipod, just had my "inner stereo"). The fastest tune that rattled round my head was Let's Dance by The Ramones. Even stranger, quite a lot of French autoroute cruising at 85-95 (mph) was accompanied by Joni Mitchell in my head (Last Time I Saw Richard, A Case Of You). So the music doesn't have to be fast for the vehicle to go fast...

I've often wondered if somewhere in glitch rhythms there is one that is somehow more catchy for dancing than the 4/4 bass drum.

Drum&bass rythms are far more powerfull than 4/4, imo.
