Naw, it's ALL about the flow, man. Vital. Fuck the iPod 'random' generation.

Hi guys , first post here (long time follower of these forums)
I'm really excited about this record, love to hear it soon!
Lemurian was one of the best (if not the best) albums of the summer of 2008.
I love that tropic summer sound which it has. Great use of samples.
I also seriously hope that this gets released as soon as possible, by which I mean before the summer ends. Because I just found out that the Kona Triangle album is not gonna be out until late september.
That is somewhat dissapointing because this really needs to be released in the summer!

Any thoughts on releasing misfit tracks online for free? Not saying this because I wouldn't be willing to throw down the cash (I have for your stuff plenty of times already and will again), but because I'm just a fan of occasionally giving away material that won't fit on other releases...seems to work well for all involved (in my experience, anyway).
Yeah , a compilation of unreleased tracks would be great. I would certainly be willing to pay too of course.
Because since I first heard Lones music on myspace (about two years ago) , I've actually ripped a lot of those tracks he posted to mp3's. To be honest about 40 of them.
But I have
never shared these with anyone and probably never will.
They are also not of the highest quality (96kbps) since they came from myspace. I just ripped a lot of songs from myspace back in the day to listen to offline or on my ipod.
And yes there are a lot of great songs in there, some of my favorites include :
Friday Dream 707
Wonderment Montage (love this track!)
Logo
Coming into Being
Twilight Groans
Epiphany Chimes
Fever Dream
Cedar Saturday
Smart Susie Sunrise
Visited by Astronauts
Afterburner
Also I don't know if this had been brought up before, but there is a really great unreleased Lone track playing on the boombox at the Dealmaker website called 'Life Time Loop'.

yeah i know what youre saying about tracks not ending up on records - this really is an area i find difficult. Arcade being the most difficult. I really wanted that on there, but with the overall flow of the album, it just wouldnt fit...
It really is hard trying to find a middle ground between what i'm happiest with and what people who like my music are happiest with. Rainbow jumper wouldnt fit anywhere either which is a shame cause thats a fave of mine.
Hopefully one day soon i can put out a compilation of all the tracks that didnt make the proper releases?
thanks again for the support dudes. And earthbound - it does suck arse that you cant listen to that show outside uk.. makes no sense to me.
x
Man, I don't get it. To me, the flow matters a lot less than how many of the better tracks there are on the album. After a listen or two, I'm going to have my favorites picked out and listen to them individually anyway. Maybe I'm alone on this one, but when it comes to a lone track, I either freakin' love it, or I don't listen to it more than one or two times.
Rainbow Jumper, man, Rainbow Jumper!
Just release those puppies!
I somehow feel you man. Do the exact same thing with albums --> pick favorites, rip em, and put em on a compilation CD with all different kind of artists. And yeah, Rainbow Jumper, whoohoo!!

Hi everyone
Just quick not to let you know that we're extremley excited to be releasing Lone's new album - Ecstasy & Friends.
Its already been noted that the track "Arcade" has now been added to the track sequence, replacing My Ami.
The free track download is now the track titled "Karen Loves Kate"
You can find it here

We're working hard to get the album out at the end of August, just in time to catch the sun go down.
Thanks
Werk

Um holy crap
New Clark, New Kona...
Now all this year needs is some new BoC. After that I suppose 2010 will just have to seem kinda lame in comparison. That's ok with me!

karen loves kate is relaaaxed, as a hippo who's eaten way too much
I googled "karen loves kate" and imagine it must relate to two nymphets who .....
"It's Kate and Karen and we wanted to welcome you to our website together! We're REALLY good friends and love to shoot together all the time."
hehe..

Wow, the new song is great! Typical Lone-goodness.
Really can't wait to hear the rest.
The Kona Triangle stuff is really good too, it's like an even more accomplished Lone-sound, lot of similarities though but with an added touch of Keaver and Brause.

haha that makes sense :p
really excited for both of these, though. lone has kind of picked up the crown in terms of warbly synth music. does werk records usually release their full lengths on vinyl? id prefer that much more than a cd.

man, i feel like a retarded ass stalker signing up on this just to bug about a tune again...but man....on the lone myspace there was a tune called 'lynncroft' that was up for no more than a week, and it was retardedly amazing. please matt, put that out or back on myspace, me and all my buddies freaked over that tune and you'd make quite a few beat heads very happy and grateful if you did.
