Sorry but i like only Verve first EP and album.

my bloody valentine is where it is at. but know one ever talks about their early work, only loveless most of time. i love lovess (hehe) but, i can dig "isnt anything" and "ecstacy and wine" a little more.

"Loveless" is not the early work from MBV, it's their last album from 1991, " Ecstasy and Wine" is from 1989,

I also prefer some early tracks over some of "Loveless". I really like the folky/shoegaze feel of "Ecstacy and Wine". Did they have a different singer on the album "This Is Your Bloody Valentine"? It sounds like a totally different band...

Oh, Daver. Why do you have to go and make a big thing of it. Why not just admit you made a couple of mistakes? I'm even prepared to believe you hit the wrong key and typed 1989 instead of 1987 by accident. Calm down, breathe easy. For God's sake let's not turn this place into WATMM.

I don't think i know it all, and i wasn't trying to act that way. All i was doing was pointing out that before you correct someone else you should be sure of your facts. And polar sky did not need correcting anyway.

And in the spirit of friendship and reconciliation, i will admit that i made a mistake too - in a way you are right - Ecstasy and Wine did come out in 1989. It was a collection of the Ecstasy mini LP and the Strawberry Wine 12" which both came out in 1987, which was the point i was trying to make.

Oh and there was no sarcasm in my post. Being sarcastic would be if i meant the opposite of what i wrote.

Now go to bed and let's hear no more about it.

Oh niknak btw it's D4VERD4NN I was not really trying to correct Polar Sky, i just gave him more info about MBV, and yr right i made a mistake with that mini-album, so i looked for it in my collection and it was 1987. And sorry but this is sarcasm to me, and i go to bed when i feel like it.

Sorry not true, Just Like Honey is from Psychocandy their first album in 1985, and that track is on " Lost In Translation ", Darklands their second album is from 1987. Both 2 very good albums.

Oops, my mistake I assume it's because Darklands fits better with the movie's mood (so if you're not familiar with Jesus & Mary Chain you should listen this one before the abrasive Psychocandy ).

"Psychocandy" is the best album from " The Jesus And Mary Chain " for me, i got it on k7, lp, and cd=+bonus track! For me it's the best album from 1985.

Well, the thing is, I haven't been pursuing it as religiously as I was a week ago. I know that I LOVE a lot of M83's stuff... but I guess some people would quibble about calling that Shoegaze.

It really just depends. Even with M83 I don't like everything he's done, and the same goes for MBV and Slowdive as well. I think I just need to let the stuff circulate some more on my Winamp...

unfortunately, airiel have captured all my attention in this genre of late, and im getting less time time than i used to to listen to music, which is a shame.

Adorable is a very good shoegazing band. " Against Perfection" and " Fake " are 2 great albums on Creation Records.
