I can't hear this track now without thinking of that beautiful youtube video someone made with the two kids and all the animal/zoo/forest footage.. you guys know the one.
But here it is, anyway.

so, i come back after a week to find out that i was stupid in thinking in the american format.
then i come back again to realize that it was probably an important date, likely the one that mrmessiah pointed out.
ouch.
double-stupid.
wishful thinking, perhaps :v

The American format makes sense to me because you've got the more important, general information on the ends. Like.. September by itself means something, the 23rd of any random month doesn't.

The American format only makes more sense to me personally when naming files on a computer, so the months stay together. Although I guess yy.mm.dd would be most ideal.
*sigh*!

I can deal with yy/mm/dd personally. I still prefer dd/mm/yyyy tho. :O

Great video - I've never seen that one before.
Edit: And I'd forgotten how lovely 5.9.78 is.

Things like that video. The visuals. The sound... Makes me glad I was put on this Earth to live. It's undescribably beautiful in a way I cannot explain. I love it. I love everything. That's how BoC can make me feel.

Oh hi, that's my video. Glad you fellows dig it - 5.9.78 is one of their best works... It sounds like a b-side to Twoism however; probably one of the last tracks they produced before releasing it.

hell yeah mate! this is one of the best BoC videos there has ever been! A couple of nights ago i was trying to explain BoC to my sister. Eventually I gave up and said, you know what, just watch this video. It encapsulates everything they're about in two short minutes. where's that footage from, if you dont mind me askin?

this song has always seemed to me like being born. Those little blips at the beginning make me think of space travel, or traveling among the cosmos and then the soul is injected into a human body when the beat kicks in 0:55. The melody is so distant but cheerful/childlike it sounds like the sound of 'trying to remember a melody that you heard playing right outside of the delivery room in the hallway of the hospital you were born in'. I cannot shake this image in my head. BOC and nostalgia, how do they do it?

5.9.78 is a probably one of the most nostalgic from the Old Tunes collection. It gives me a warm feeling inside...
