Yes it's slightly different, Aquarius (Version 3).

Olson and Aquarius are different but Happy Cycling is the same.

Indeed, Aquarius V 3 is mega. Love the added vocals both the subtle choir sounding one and the male ones that come in at the key change. Makes me laugh coz it kinda sounds like the male vocals are saying ice cream (I know theyre not but its similar). So in theory we have
'Orange......Iiiiiiiicccccceeeeee Cream'

Best song on Peel Sessions? XYZ hands down. Also Bad Day, that version of Happy Cycling is vastly inferior to any version of Happy Cycling ever.

Well, except for maybe Old Tunes. Maybe.

I'll go out on a limb and say that "In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country" is probably the most complete BOC release - four longish tracks, all good, and which result in a cohesive whole that equals more than the sum of its parts. I like listening to it on a drive when it is dark - as I did earlier this evening, on my way home from work.

Every track on this release is a cracker: a bona fide classic.

While we're on the topic of the Peel Session: I love Olson (Version 3). Such a huge improvement over the original, in my opinion.

The only question I have: where's Olson (Version 2)?

Don't give Peel Session as many spins as I should because it's such a short EP, but all three songs (& XYZ) are phenomenal. The male choir during the counting gives me chills a lot of the time.

these sky blue vinyls, i've had 2 in my lifetime, on my 2nd, both same blue. i've seen darker blue vinyls online, anyone know if this is true? perhaps its just the images i've seen that they just look darker

in my celebration of this excellent release and my gateway into the world of boc i was jamming the sterolab remix of kid for today and realized that the warp10+3 album was released in october 99 and yet the ep in which the original song first appears wouldn't be released for another year and a month.

did the remix actually come out before the official song?

Yes - somewhere there is a picture of a Boc Maxima tape with bonus tracks, one of which is an early version of Kid for Today, before it was given that name.

Kid for today is actually from 1997. According to the old EHX website.

Now that you mention it I did vaguely recall that there was a "demo" version of KFT. Boy what I wouldn't give to hear that.

So if the song is in fact from 97 then the wiki entry for the warp10+3 isn't wrong. And I guess the Stereolab remix was out first. So weird to hear a remix before you've ever heard the original.
