As a boy I would watch the rain from the living room window as it fell on the driveway. The splashes each drop would make always seemed like little demons bursting in pain and horror as they slammed into the ground. Really freaked out my little imagination.

Watership Down scared me! Why do parents think this film is OK for 6 year olds?

Also, wolves. Saw a documentary about wolves in India that drag children out of their beds at night. Scared the bejesus out of me! Also lions and bears freaked me out for some reason. And deep water.

I was TERRIFIED of the sound of a flushing toilet. I used to run out of the bathroom every time I did my business. Turning off the light has never been such a challenge.

ha! i was the same. i was also terrified of drains.
i would run out of the bathtub and around the house screaming "GEORGE IS COMING TO GET ME!". for some odd reason i named the drain george.
i was an odd child...

for some reason the ghosts in pokemon scared me sleepless.

i also was horribly terrified of the sun blowing up or black holes. when i was about 5, i started reading up on the planets, the moon and other spacey stuff and i was horrified of black holes, and i would scream in the middle of the night because of them.

when my mom would read my science books for me at night, i would cry at the part about black holes. also, when i was about 8, i was REALLY REALLY scared of the whole 2012 thing. now i look back and think that i was pretty gullible at the age of eight.

Wow. I've actually been playing the remakes lol. And yes, they were freaky.

Another scary thing was Tim Curry. No matter what movie he was in, I was scared when I saw him...

I know it's hardly scary now but looking back, that whole show had such a potent vibe. The opening credits alone still do the trick.

Other than that, the first house I grew up in was creepy. An old women died up in the room I had and I would constantly have night terrors when sleeping.

also i saw jaws when i was way too young and the scene at the end where the shark jumps up on the boat and eats quint, that really traumatized me.

The Gorax from An Ewok Adventure was terrifying to me.

I watched blade runner at the age of seven, and while it remains one of my favourite scenes of all time the HEAD CRUSHING SCENE still scares me to death.

To this day I skip right past that scene, and compromise on some pivotal dialogue, apparently :/ :/

When I was a kid I had an irrational fear towards ET. I know he's supposed to be cute and amicable but I found him absolutely creepy, much more than Chucky or any other monster from my childhood. The scene where Elliot throws the ball into his garage and it is returned to him didn't let me sleep for weeks. My father once bought a small light to put on my bedroom's door so I wouldn't be so afraid, unfortunately it was a green light for whatever reason so it made things worse, I always imagined that horrible ET silhouette just standing at my door and raising his creepy finger to me .

This movie. I was so terrified, couldn't sleep for a week.

my mom is a huge stephen king fan, so i saw alot of his movies when i was way too young. "IT" scarred me for the majority of my childhood.
