The silence is becoming worrisome, just thought I would get us talking about upcoming projects from the group again. I hope in the next 3 months we at least hear some official news. Sorry if you guys think this thread should be deleted but this is a boc forum, right? One of the only ones online - And it may not be the group but WARP that's now holding up the news...

Don't take it to heart Sexagun Hun. Alot of people have been on this site for a long old time and get a bit tetchy about the old recurring will they/won't they topic cropping up again and again. You're not the first to get shot down in flames (in both senses) and you'll probably not be the last.

For what it's worth (ie. nothing at all) I think MDG was honest with his message last December where he said the album would drop this year. If that's slipped again, it's hardly the biggest surprise in the World. It doesn't make him a liar or a fraud, only guilty of giving the best info he had at the time.

Listen, we KNOW they are notoriously anal and picky. For all we know the album was all ready to go and then they scrapped it and started again. Equally, we also don't know a release date won't be announced tomorrow. Either way, as we've all said about 69 million times before, it'll be ready when it's ready. ie. when THEY think it's ready. No hints, no clues and no studio interview telling us all how they're getting on.

Rightly or wrongly, this is just how they roll and personally, I wouldn't want it any other way. If they change, that means compromise. And none of us should want that.

Alot of dates are possible in the next few years. I will be very happy if BoC put out an album anytime between now and the end of 2012

when mira calix said no to a new BoC album this year, i believed her. i've been sorta disenchanted since then. i still dig BoC and listen a little bit (less often than I used to, but i will NEVER fucking get tired of the ATP live rip)

but my hopes aren't up anymore. and it's not me trying to suppress hopes so that i don't feel disappointed or something like that, I'm not secretly hoping, it's just sort of... deflated.

i bet i'll be giddy as a caffeinated schoolgirl if a new album drops, whenever it does. but right now it's just meh.

Maybe they might be waiting for forums like this to shut down before releasing anything.

Considering that MDG wrote "No, sorry, again whoever said this is having you on. If the album was coming out in Sep/Oct (that's between only 2 and 6 weeks from now) there would have been announcements up for a while." on 8/18/09, I'm assuming that the new album would have been announced already if it was coming out this year.

I'd love to have a heads up.
