Johnny Marr i read somewhere is a fan. Also read in an article once that the fella from the red hot chili peppers is a fan..the one with the false teeth. The comedian Bill Bailey is a fan. Coil were fans. Thom Yorke wishes he could make music half as good as BoC. Mogwai tried to get them for ATP. In some BoC interview they talk about success and the bizzare requests they get from established acts for remixes / production work. Here they say they've had offers from someone halfway between radiohead and God. My wild guess here is that they're taking the piss and referring to Bono. Wouldn't surprise me with his knack for latching onto / alligning himself with much more talented artists than he is. I'm sure they've had a few requests from people like this who are only trying to flatter themselves. Much like Aphex with Madonna

Nick Mc Cabe of the Verve is a big fan of the band as well, got to meet him and talk music for a few hours in Blackpool 2007.

Kevin Ogilvie, aka Ogre, from Skinny Puppy is a huge fan. I saw a post of his on a board where he said he was in the process of hunting everything of theirs down.

I read somewhere that solange likes beck and radiohead, so her liking BOC isn't a stretch...

serious? the joshua tree is one of my favorite albums. i think it was done very well.

They're one of those bands aren't they, that seem to polarise opinion. You either love em or hate em. I know a few people that disagree with me on that one. Ah well, debating the merits or flaws of bands and artists...it's not going to solve the worlds problems and it's all a bit pointless, but still it's good fun nevertheless

as far as the pop/r&b singer thing goes, then yes i base my statement on that exactly. i am just assuming that she is as talentless as her sister and has songs produced for her, by some "hip hop producer". i dunno tho, she might be bumpin' roygbiv in her headphones as we speak.
