Ah, okay. I thought something wasn't right about them....Especially the one for Focus on the Spiral. Thanks for clearing that up.
The excerpts of Duffy, Wouldn't You Like to be Free, and Circle are real though, right? Bocpages still says they're genuine.

Could someone help confirming whether this vinyl is a fake or not?
It's from "2007 - Unreleased Tracks"
info here:
http://bocpages.org/wiki/Unreleased_Tracks
imo it's a self-made vinyl.

I've wondered this - i don't suppose anyone has tried to tie up the track times between early release and Random tape for any similarities? (I think the answer to that is probably 'yes, and nothing matched')
I actually compared the track lengths of the 35 tape to the times of other pre-twoism albums given by bocpages and I actually did come up with something.
The closest matches I found were Close1=AT04, Godever=AT09, Powerline=AT31/AT16 Side B
Probably doesn't mean jack shit but what the heck.

As he says, a few random correlations happen by coincidence but there's no meaningful correspondence.

mdg could have discounted any theories but never has which makes me think they probably are related to the pre-twoism material. or maybe he just prefers it that nobody else knows.

He could tell us the real trackname, that would clarifiy the theories. He confiremd it's boc, and from an old post we all know that boc does not like their music presented mislabeled. So?

Surprised no one has mentioned Seven Forty Seven as solid proof of this tracks legitimacy.

That's because you just beat me to it
It's the main riff from Seven Forty Seven, but slowed / pitched down and with a different drum beat + background effects. Eerily different, yet similar.

The track is real, but we're not sure of the name. Someone re-used some of the tracks from the (legitimate) Old Tunes tapes (for which most of the actual track titles are unknown - they remain untitled), to populate fake downloads of the legendary "older releases" (in this case, Closes Vol. 1).
read
this, especially the preface.

Hello, first time poster here! Just want to make sure nothing has changed since this post happened. Downloaded supposed BoC Maxima & Closes Vol. 1 recently and am unsure as to which tracks are real and which ones are fake? I've done some googling and there are a couple people around the internets that claim they're all real now, with BoCpages saying the bulk is fake.
My Downloads w/ track lengths:

http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/7476/s ... 6at123.png
To my understanding from BoCpages, BoC Maxima is real, Closes Vol. 1 is not. At all.
Any truth?

I'm pretty sure any pre-twoism download that's not AFOT,BoC Maxima, Old tunes, or the 35 tracks tape is going to be fake.
The BoC Maxima you have is the same as mine, it's real but I think Rodox video is only supposed to be 33 seconds long, but I guess that doesn't really matter. It also appears that you have the problem where Skimming Stones repeats itself on Niagara and plays again on it's own track.
